Ruby, Cyke, Black Heart, and Rogue just off the top of my head would all adapt into the MvC3 system easily.
I don’t know why everyone feels the need to make Megaman sound worse than he actually was in the older games. Yeah he wasn’t top tier, but by no means was he straight up garbage. Besides, just because a character wasn’t the greatest in a previous game doesn’t mean that they can’t get better in a sequel. Morrigan in UMvC3 is arguably a better character than she was in the previous games, and Iron Man got worse.
I’m going to add to this conversation but first I have business to go handle. I must say though that we should start a petition to get old mvc2 characters as dlc for the game. I’d pay for a the better characters to return to the series
I think petitions are a waste of time. Capcom knows the fans want more characters/returning old ones. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist.
Frankly I see the only possibility (while extremely slim to none) would be new characters. I’ll take what I can hahahaha

patches/dlc aint happenin, why not just find the old vs game that the character you like was competetive in and play that one?
Some of us actually like this game, and we like the characters, so it seems only logical to want to see them in this game.
I haven’t played much UMvC3, but judging from the way the game works I think Hayato would be godlike in UMvC3.

The power-up super (much like Vergil’s devil trigger), the sword slashy super (much like Vergil’s sword slashy super) and his normals; good range/priority. Even Vergil’s H, S, H, S chain is similar to Hayato’s chains.
Hayato was ahead of his time.
A lot of the older character couldve worked in this game like Cyclops Rogue or dare i say it…Marrow
I wanted Jin just because he was a fucking badass,Could you imagine what his Blodia super would look like? or if he had a LVL3?
Replace hsien ko with BB Hood btw.
Megaman, Thanos, & M.Bison are the only characters I could see

Juggz definitely would and should have made the cut. Juggernaut punch and earthquake for OTG moves. Super armor on his heavy attacks but no weird property like Hulks unless counter hit which would be viable because of the armor. His power up would give super armor on everything else and of course power up his specials/hypers. He should get his command grab back and each version should behave different to allow combos since he already has sub par combo ability. :l: grab should combo and cause ground bounce 
should cause wall bounce to setup for head crush or a jump loop when close to corner as he won’t get much else off this without assist. :h: should be an anti air grab that combos and throws them to the other side of the screen like web throw or gamma tornado and should be able to combo into juggernaut punch xx head crush. If you really want to be savvy with him make his s:m: OTG like Dooms. Last but not least give him his famous line as a taunt :lol:

Sure, Juggs could be a liability against IOH and Keepaway but TOD’s without using a super?
I like the idea.
I’d say he’d be like hsien ko but better on point and with a stronger assist with Juggernaut punch having armor going full screen.

Him/Dhalsim would have been better characters than Ghost Rider gameplay wise.For whatever reason Capcom gave those two characters better mobiltiy for bizzare reasons(Dat Omega Strike mixups, and Omega Red have airdashs). Aesthetics/marketing wise, Ghost Rider does make sense for many reasons
