the main problem with that combo is that it’s masher’s heaven…if you don’t connect crLK with crLP you’re screwed and can eat a DP -> ultra pretty easily

No it is punishable,provided the character has a normal that reaches far enough (i did it with feis cr.lp).
Of course hardly anyone knows how to punish online so its no wonder you were able to get away with shit like “with most characters you have to think “ok what distance am i at to do this move” but with fei i find pretty much any distance is fine to poke with rekkas/ and then youre in to do damage with his amazing normals and more rekkas”.Also Fei long definitely is not a hard character to play.You can get 4000+pp easily on xbox live by just doing fundamental shit and antiairing.
Nahh you’re still punishable by any reversal that’s 4 frames or less, or any Normal xx Special in time. For example, Fei gets a free cr.LP xx Rekkas in return in the mirror. MP is -6 and HP is -8 on block. Which is why Rekka spacing is so important against anyone who’s used to play against Fei, because it’s much more punishable than people think.
Honestly? Someone NEEDS to make a “How to punish Rekka guide with each character”. I know that seems counter-productive but I am soooo sick of hearing how cheap rekkas are just because people don’t know how to punish them with their character…
For example, Rufus can punish a bad rekka pretty hard with cr.jab> ex tornado and if you are in the corner? Free ultra GG.
Exactly. With both the 1f BnB and hk.cw, there’s literally no reason for any char with a mashable reversal to not mash it. Especially if they have enough meter to FADC. Rekkas and CW also get stuffed by plenty of moves.
