not really. the g3 trny was $10 site fee and $10 entry free, while this trny is $20 entry fee and $0 site fee. People are still paying the same amount

In all honesty, I’m not going to any more tournaments without the prospect of playing in an HDR tourney.
With so many people not showing up to this it’s doubtful I’d be able to throw a small side HDR bracket.
Not to mention there’s no confirmation that any sides can be run considering from what I’ve heard anyway that this venue is open for 5-6 hours tops? I wouldn’t want to compete with SF4 for player time.
Point is I’m very likely not showing up to this.

Have a 2v2 Tourny the same time :P.
I’ve been there beofre you guys have like 24 T.Vs and in Sf its 2 ppl per tv so im sure there would be enough to run two tournaments, And A 2v2 or 3v3 would be fun. No duplicate characters and all that good stuff
Number of tv’s isn’t the issue. Team tourneys take away players from the main tourney. The second player always has to wait, and sometimes the 1st player delays things so they can see how their teammate is doing. It always slows things down, so do it before or after.
Do not run simultaneous singles and team tournaments for SFIV. That is a logistical nightmare.
I’ve never even been to a tournament, but common logic says singles + team tourneys at the same time are terrible.

I think the guy is missing the point. he is charging $20 dollar entry for a tournament. How can he give a discount on entry fee for a tournament.
Here is how he should do it.
$10 venue fee.
$10 pot entry fee which players get 100% of split 3 ways at 70/20/10.
This is the standard way of doing things. If he bothered to do 5 seconds worth of reading he would know this.
