I have a copy of Brawl if you need it, not to be a dick but the Brawl people are kinda not cool and it takes me a lot not to like people =/
YAY! BRAWL.
I cant wait to show off my pokeball throwing skills.
I heard that luigi is top tier with that hammer. This is coming from a heel of a source.
ugghh, i’d much rather Smash not be involved. I feel like that’s pandering to a separate community altogether.
Yeah, I mean, I don’t want to be a jerk or anything, but I’d rather there was no Brawl.
Hey guys, just wanted to give everyone an update.
I got together with Ph0enix today to talk about some of the concerns posted. We definitely understand the concern, mashing games tend to bring a different “attitude” with the player, and we do want this to be a long-lasting dedicated event that people can rely on, not a drama-hub. I just wanted to clear a few things up and post a bit more info for next weeks FIGHT NIGHT.
So we went over our current screen and system counts. Here is the official post for this weeks fight night:
Basically we decided we’re going to have a setup FOR brawl, with no real dedication to it.
We’re not going to be pushing it, holding tournaments geared towards brawl, of anything of the likes.
In the same token, we do want this to turn into something much bigger than it already is (Our goals are to rent out a local hotel event room monthly for the tournaments) Having a multitude of games=more players. More players= more entries. More entries means new equipment and new venues, and a better experience for everyone, it also means more exposure to our community, which could result in sponsored events at a much more rapid pace than we are currently projecting.
tl;dr we’re going to have SSB set up, but we’re going to be watching it. If after the first week it proves to just be a bunch of raging drama, we will absolutely do away with the setup. The goal here is a competative environment for ALL gamers alike, but in my eyes being competitive =/= being a jerk.
Just to add; our soul focus on the tournament setting does not include games like Halo, Super Smash bro’s, or Call of Duty, but you very well may see them on some of the extra screens during IMPACT.
That’s fine. It is your thing and I understand why Smash would be involved because it does have a good following in the area. Which means more revenue for Impact.
There are around six people including myself who are dedicated (As in, attending tournaments weekly and placing high) Brawl players in the area, so don’t be surprised if we all show up now.
How well did you guys do at apex?
Only a few of us made it out of pools.
Awesome!
Its tough being the best of a 16/32 man pools(Idk how big are apex pools are).
I will be looking forward to watch you guys play.
Apparently everyone works on Wednesday but me, so they all turned me down.
I may still show up, but I’m not sure if I’ll really be playing any of the traditional fighters. I have a stick and whatnot, but the only game I have is UMVC3 and even that I’m trash at, having put barely any time in to it.
If I’m the guy to beat for any game then the scene has a problem. Step it up, nerds
Hey everyone, big thanks to all who made it! And those who couldn’t, we will be doing this weekly so no big! Look forward to meeting some new faces next time around.
In-case you weren’t aware, IMPACT! made the news!
