WELP. I’m an idiot. Turns out all that happened to my stick is that the 5V line simply fell out of the screw terminal. That’s like a month and a half of not playing Marvel for nothing.
So I won’t be there Tuesday night. I got hit with a bunch of random homework / grading and an exam on Monday that I need to study for. I’m trying to get a bunch of work done so I can play umvc3 a crap ton when it drops :3. I’ll be at the tourney on Wednesday. I’ll try and bring my monitor so we have an extra.

Wellp, I forgot my 360 slim power supply up north somewhere. If anyone has a spare that I could use just for tomorrow night, that’d be rad. Otherwise, someone else’ll have to bring KOF, since my copy’s still in the console.
I’ll be bringing a KOF set-up for sure, so no worries there. Also, hope you’ve been enjoying it. I really think this might be the best one yet!

He seems like a lot of fun in this one! I’ve been practicing my preliminary Kim/Ash/Terry team, though I can play some Kyo if necessary. I don’t like Benimaru in this one, much as I thought I would play him. Good news for you: Maxima should be possible to learn pretty quickly from a combo standpoint, so give him a whirl!

Maxima is pretty awesome, and I’ve done more of his trials than any other character, but I don’t have him under my wrists nearly as well as Clark. Always screw up the timing on canceling into Vapor Cannon xx Double Vapor Cannon after the grapple follow-up, and consistently throw out HP VC instead of LP which comes out quickly. I’ll probably throw in either Takuma or Chin as a third member for tonight’s tourney. New Chin is just stupid silly.
What’s wrong with Benimaru this time around? He seems to have all his usual business with the knee combo, Raijinken and Corridor… Is he actually missing Kategoma? They mix up his old combos?
2 questions regarding kof13
-can I pick 2k2 characters and pretend I’m playing that game and make anything happen or has everything changed
-is raiden still good in the console version
- All the fundamentals are there. You might actually get farther into combos than 2K2 thanks to Drive Cancels. When in doubt, hop attack, close C, special, SDM.
- Drop kick isn’t nearly as full of fuck now, takes longer to charge, and I think they took away its free juggle property or it knocks the enemy too far away or something. Forgot if there was a damage nerf of not, but either way, he’s not going to touch-of-death with only two meters anymore.
