Watching you play Clock was a fucken pleasure. I hope you come back for more Marvel next year =]
Is PS3 the acceptable medium for MvC2 now? Can I get rid of some of these SD TVs in my storage closet yet?

haha thanks, was a pleasure to be at your event <(_ _)>
dont think anybody really prefers to play on anything besides DC/arcade (including myself) but i personally wouldnt have a problem with ps3 marvel.

LOST JOYSTICK and mad props to yall
Thanks to John Rog and Kai for hosting such a great event.
Much props to the all the SoCal peeps who keep the HDR scene thriving. It’s such an old game on a new level, and seeing new blood running for the top makes me a happy camper. Mad props to the guys I met out there, you know who you are. I’m sending friend requests to all y’all for some possible future projects.
LOST JOYSTICK
One last thing… and we all knew it had to happen to somebody…
I misplaced my joystick while I was out there, most likely on Saturday night when I was wilin’ out. If someone could contact me about it, or perhaps give it to JohnRog or Dark Gaiden/Vintage, I’d appreciate it. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
Joystick description:
Black Pelican Real Arcade Universal stamped on the front
Orange Sanwa joystick and orange/clear buttons installed
Has a fortune glued to the top left of the face panel that reads: “You have the makings of a winner.”
The base model looks like this:

It’s easy to make it out from the sea of TE sticks out there. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to keep such a monstrous thing, as they’d get called out almost immediately on how large the damn thing is. People always complain how weird the thing feels while playing anyways.
I’d like it back mostly for sentimental reasons. Thanks, all.
No we still have to play 3rd Strike!

Someone, please get this man his stick back. I have to agree that I would not want to be the guy who totes that monstrosity around. Be a good person. Follow the golden rule. What goes around comes around. No harm, no foul. 2 guys 1 stick.
I said some of the TVs Yi! Lawlz. I will host 3s for as long as you come out. The WCW that 5 Star isn’t there, that’s when 3s ends.
Tournament was ran pretty well, though there were dead periods of nothing happening during pools [but then again, that happens to every tournament]. It got pretty hype, which isn’t common in norcal most of the time :[
It was good to see everyone again, and a lot of fun. This tourney also shows me I can’t go into competitions half-assed with no practice T_________________T
Much respect to the organizers (Rog & Kai) for throwing such an amazing event. I think I can speak on behalf of the HDR scene, and say a collective THANK YOU.
The HDR tourney was awesome, but hanging out with the players was even better. It was great hanging out and talking with team NorCal (see you guys at DVC lol), Damdai (glad you could make it man), Synco (CE warrior!), Voltech (Chun 4 life), Santa Maria Crew (haha, why do I always have to play Cesar lol? JohnnyV & Pete (always fun hanging out with you guys…thx for going out quickstyle on SF4 ha) MadGrab (my fellow Mac G5 brother), Moocus (team Denjin), Afrolegends (haha, I’m glad we all contributed to your new car fund) Valle (for showing love to the OG game…much respect homie), Aqua Snake (square gate fei), BCChoi (ggpo in the house) James Chen (909, nuff said) SnakeEyez (thanks for bringing the crowd hype for HDR)…and the countless others I met there
John Rog and James Chen bringing the Killian-esque commentary…well done guys!
I have to admit that I truly had more fun once the tourney was over. Talking with guys like Damdai and Voltech about who “raged” more after a match, was classic. Seriously…Damdai rages??? who knew
hahah nice photos…
I have a feeling for Marvel to continue as a tourney game, next year Playstation 3 will be standard as much as people dislike it. Kind of like how SF2 has to HDR to survive on this level. Damn man I wish I could rescue those tubes from the trash though. We’ll be running CRTs as long as we can in Ohio No lag + 4x3 + they pull double duty and can run old shit + cheap.
P.S. Great tourney man and great stream
Yeah, MvC2 will need to be on next-gens to survive… besides… look at all that fodder online - those kids are dying to get their dreams crushed. I am hoping to see a good turnout this year on the PS3 - we will see. I surely will not miss those friggin CRTs… at 90 pounds a piece and 30x36 boxes they are heavy and take up a ton of room. Give me 20 pound LCD monitors any day of the week.
I dunno man… I think 2010 is going to be the death of 3S, competitively. Even EVO, the Capcom house that they are, are not running 3S. We are running it at DEVASTATION this year but, unless it has a great turnout, I do not see it coming back next year.
As long as myself and Yi are here, 3rd Strike is here to stay in SoCal. If Warzone becomes the one tournament a year that every 3rd Strike player waits for, than so it shall be. 3s will stand as the triumphant game in a sea of shit like Street Fighter 4.
Otherwise, Clock, it’s always so great to see you play Marvel. I thoroughly enjoy that ninja.
Because when that Ninja is out, we got problems.
You seriously post like a homo dude.
hahaha
Good jobz on WCWZ John Rogz mah Dogz and Kai. lolz lots of funniez ONLINE-AMUS TON-AMUS foot stomp :bgrin:
