yeah think im gunna try mag or doom… cheers for the advice man… and sorry for the SALT!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

You don’t actually need to do combos gain meter. Wesker randomly hit you win, or you can even block to the point that you make get two bars. Either Way Skull and Deadpool have much better ways to stop Wesker’s UPback(jumping backs t)

The problem here is that Wolverine has no assist that can help him get in. Meanwhile Deadlpool has no assist to help do some keepaway. Skull’s Orbrtial Gruge is a much more useful, safer as for Deadpool and Wolverine. Skrull’s Orbital Grudge can give Wolverine options to make his ground dash, Drill Caw, Beserker Slash, etc safer. It won’t stop the drones, but it’s Wolverine’s only option to apporach. They both benefit from orbital grudge than tenderizer.

You need to pick a character with a projectile assist. Otherwise your only projectile assist for help is Deadpool’s trigger happy assist, you can use it to attack Wesker at a upward distance.

no wonder u getting blown up its because u have horrible assist for wolverine.

Holy shit, I thought I was the worst Marvel player in the world

Not anymore. I have all the confidence ever now. BRB, gonna go bang a supermodel

Hey guys, this friend of mine started beating me at Tekken 3. He can’t even do the 10 hit strings like I can, so I’m clearly better than him. He keeps hitting me low when I’m standing and if I go to block low he hits me high. He’s a real scrub and I’m actually really good. I play Law, Jin and True Ogre. I’m pushing 10x more buttons than him so why am I losing?

You guys know wesker is the most balanced top tier…

I’d prefer to see a video of you two playing, then. As it stands, you’re both scrubs, he just has the right mentality of “Play to win using any tactic available.” No tactic is gay, or cheap, or whatever. His tactic might be easier than yours, but if its more effective, there’s no reason for him to adapt because you fall for it enough. Scrub isn’t necessarily an insult, its more of a state of mind. If you make up excuses or whine about tactics or whatever when it comes to video games where everyone is given the exact same possibilities, you’re a scrub.

Don’t switch characters, everyone can deal with everyone in their own ways. Utilize your options. I don’t see any good reason to have Katana-Rama assist, because both of the other characters have reliable combo extenders using their own OTGs. Switch to Trigger Happy assist and every time he calls out Sentinel, call out Deadpool and dash forward. This will cover Deadpool from the gunshot, and will then hit both Sentinel and Wesker if he remained grounded. If he didn’t, he just teleported without any sort of backup, and this leads to air grabs / whatever damaging combo you can pull off. Repeat every time he calls out Sentinel unsafely.

Does Orbital Grudge assist auto-go into Fatal Buster for a wall bounce? If so, go that. Otherwise, just stick with Tenderizer, as Wolverine’s df.M + Tenderizer can lead to some pretty interesting mixups if you want to go for a reset.

I gotta agree with you on that.

Honestly I’ve had the game a month and I’m pretty sure I could shut that tactic down. Though now I have newly found confidence in my skills with marvel.

@op
are you jasper by any chance?

This is perhaps the most epic thread in the history of threads.

wait, are speaking of the legendary Jasper from that SSF4 thread like 2 years ago? i assumed he would be hospitalized by now

if you are talking about the jasper who had a thread for his chun li tibute and other thread that me and other prems trolled to oblivion, so epic that wiz had to delete it, then yes
i dont know why but the way that the op posts gives me a heavy jasper vibe :stuck_out_tongue:

edit

iirc, the thread that we trolled was along the lines of this one, where he bragged about how great as a player he was, talking about the scrub tactics of his oponents, etc, etc

Dunning-Kruger effect

He teabagged at the end.

He teabagged at the end. Hysterics

I showed this video to my brother. He’s played Wesker since day one. He has combos and resets that go for miles. When I told him you were losing to this guy he fell over cracking up.

I’m sorry man, but this isn’t something you should be having a problem with.

Your problem is that you don’t have the humility to tell yourself that you’re not good. Overcoming your flaws won’t come until you admit them.

No I am not jasper, I am good at this game also… I dint say “amazing” or “the best”… i said pretty damn good. I also apologise for where i posted this as im new to forums. i also apologise for any saltiness… however in the orginal post i wasnt asking for help… I understand people saying

“As it stands, you’re both scrubs, he just has the right mentality of “Play to win using any tactic available.” No tactic is gay, or cheap, or whatever. His tactic might be easier than yours, but if its more effective,”

^^^^ i get that… but the point of the op was that this ^^^ ruins the game for me… as in makes it more about that than actually enjoying it… “FOR ME”… maybe not for you guys…

the video that was posted** WAS NOT posted by me…** the tactics in it are not simlar top the ones he does against me. I also would like to note that a lot of the advice and tactics I have been given on here to counter the tactic i explained in the original post do not work.
People are throwing out advice to me, its simple to just shout “do this fool stop complaining” without actually checking if your tactic works…

Trigger happy assist for one… does not. neither does using orbital grudge’s armour as an assist.
on paper the ideas sound great, hence why i have already tried them, to no avail. you guys instead are just thinking of assists and ideas then shouting them out and dissing on me, before actually knowing what wesker/sent tactic im speaking of and before trying your advice yourself.
people simply shouting “DIVE KICK” erm… yes… i know wolverine has a divekick… its not as simple as that… “GRAB DAT FOOL”…the guy i described is simply mashing H therefore already has breakaway’s covered so its not effective all the time.

My problem is/was is what an earlier post mentioned that Wolverine does not have a way to get in. I am good in terms of combos and synergy and mixups between my team, but i have been stubborn and never learnt anyone else, because i got so good with my characters and knew them like the back of my hand, and the only assists I had were combo extenders. I have today been practicing with doc doom and i think his plasma assist is definitely what ive been looking for to help wolvie get in. It works like a dream. I am obviously learning a whole new ball game now and fighting much more difficult opponents so i can only get better from here.

HOWEVER… i do totally standby my original statement… and if you knew what particular wesker/sent tactic i was talking about, and tried it out for yourselves against it, using my (old) team… you would have also struggled and found most of your ideas and advice would not work ^^^^^^
which brings me to my final point and post… weskers gunshot teleport is too easy and too high reward mixed with this sent assist. It IS simply a case of mashing H. there are ways around it. now i have doctor doom it shouldnt be a problem

cheers for all the advice, ideas help, trolling, abuse and laughs.

genuinely have helped and ive finally broke out of my comfort zone and learnt a new character

You’re using the best character in the game and you’re having problems with some flowchart Wesker!? Just put Skrull on point, that’s where he should be.

I just found this thread today:

How come nobody has challenged him?
Dainebag, have you no shame or modesty? Oftentimes, when you’re having trouble against basic stuff, the problem is on YOUR end. People in this thread have given you advice and you turn it away as if you know better, because you can get am inefficient 300 hit combo or an impractical mixup.

Shheeeet nigga, combo counter means nothing. How about changing assists for that matchup in particular? How about rushing Wesker down at the start of the match? How about looking at yourself as part of the problem, step down from your podium of “pretty damn good”? If you think you suck, you’ll try to get better, which you seem to have NO interest in doing.

I’m going to France for around a month, no Xbox there, but I’d just love to play you when I get back. I’m not even that good, but fuck it, seems like fun.

I read all of this in Sheldon’s voice.

And I don’t have an Xbox. :I

Straight up, this game’s style is no holds barred. No matter what tactic is employed,
its fair game, as every team is more than capable of some “bs” tactics that one could
use in retaliation.

As gay as that may be, and as much as I hate the bs, i think thatt learning to deal with the countless scrubs bs techniques using a soliid , consistent strategy (that doent involve going down to their level) will only maakee me stronger and eventually ill end up with an answer to alll the com
on bs strategies.

I havent gotten around to wesker myself, but my limited use with him has lead me to believe that he has a lot pf potential, and i look fprward to masterimg his shadow arts!
