I got 3. You kids and your good memory…
you have to put a hyphen inbetween the punch and out i.e. super punch-out
unfortunately I wasted hit points that way. Eg I knew the music of Aero the Acrobat, typed it, it was not accepted. I thought it cant be. So I wasted 5 points for a screen shot and it was Aero indeed, but I had to type Acro-bat. I played the sequel where in the game title it said Acrobat.they could have made an exception to that

I just skipped that aero one as well i know what it was but didnt want to waste points… i used to love playing aero on the snes and amiga… lol anyone remember james pond?
Was I a '90s gamer? I still am lol, well, until the new VF hits (itself of course a key '90s franchise).
One of my fave 16bit games: Thunder Force IV, from Tecno Soft :smokin:
I gave up at 38. There were at least 6 others that I knew but the game wouldn’t except my spelling. The title of the quiz is pretty misleading though. It’s a Super Nintendo/Sega Genesis quiz. I’m pretty sure the Playstation, Saturn, N64, and Dreamcast all came out in the 90’s but the quiz ignores them.
in what game can you play coolio, house of pain, and public enemy?
Got 47 before I got to wait-for-hints to be freely given mode.
This is fun. All those years reading and re-reading EGM magizines are finally paying off. I think I got more questions right from the trivia hints than the music and screenshot. For example, I listened to the music and all the hints, and I was stumped until I read the trivia clue: “Chun-Li, from Street Fighter, makes a short cameo in the first game - if you know where to find her”. Then I knew EXACTLY what game it was.
So it’s “StarFox” not “Star Fox”? Huh?!
I am stuck on a few, like:
Row 2, Column 5: Some Egg-Based game. I got all the trivia and hints, I have no idea what the hell this game is.
Row 2 Column 8: Again, no idea. I dont remember any game starring a red bannana-looking alien.
Row 6 Column 12: I feal that I should know this game. I know I saw the arcade version. This one is killing me.
Row 6 Column 14: Could someone tell me what this game is? The music alone makes me want to play it.
There are some NES games there too, but you certainly have a valid point.
Sounds like Rap Jam.
Spoiler
1.Sunset Riders
2. Turrican (probably the guy that made the quiz never heard of the Amiga)
I kind of wish this was like multiple choice since how you type it, it’s asking for you to be in how the game wants in.
At first I was like “oh, maybe it needs the exact name of the game word by word”, but then you get stuff like “mario rpg” right.
That’s cause it’s robocop vs terminator.
I got 75. Come at me.
The one with the egg character is killing me. I recognize him, but can’t remember the name of the game. I can’t get the Mickey Mouse game either. Or that James Pond one. I think it’s robo-something…
I feel like making one of these trivia games now.
dizzy?
Yeah, same here. I guess I finally found a use for those Gamepro magazines I wasted money on.
Spoiler
- World of Illusion (sequel to Castle of Illusion)
- Robocod
Didn’t bother figuring out the egg one.
I got 32/93. 23 without hints. The Eternal Champions one was killing me. I knew I had heard it.
man this is mad hard, I forgot most of these tunes but instantly remembered when i got the hint.
getting to hear that cool spot beat bought back great memories though…
Cool game. I was able to get about 40 without any hints. I have 53/93 after about 15 minutes. It kinda sucks that there was no 5th Gen (PSX, Saturn, N64) stuff though. It was also surprising that were no Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter questions. Also, weren’t Duck Tales & Double Dragon from the 80s?
I only got 16/93 and 3 of those were with hints. I got Eternal Champions and WWF Raw though and thats all that matters <3
Wow! Nostalgiagasm! and to think I know my 90’s game but this proved me wrong.
Raw score of 24/93 (no hints)
Some of these are killing me. I should know what they are, but I’m drawing a blank.
