Yeah the Super is like -80 or something like that on Block O_o
i’ve done it (though i don’t know why), and honestly, if theres any chance at all that they won’t get chipped to death almost instantly, just throw out an ex fireball instead. probably only half of the fireballs from the super will even connect because several go up too high, so theres only minimal gain and very big risk (massive frame disadvantage).
oddly enough, every time i’ve done a random wakeup super, the person has blocked all of the hits, only to mistakenly jump too soon and get caught in the forehead by the final upward diagonal fireball. made me laugh every time.
Yeah, I won a very close fight against Ken because he didn’t expect that last fireball - he was going for a jumping attack that would have finished me off, but instead he got totalled by a flying pink blancmange. I laughed till my legs fell off.
Happened to me playing against a Juri… hmmm… did this happened to you some time ago? Because that might have been me playing Ken for some reason (I do sometimes just to get some lulz)
It was about three days ago. But as I only see a PSN tag beneath your avatar and I’m only on XBL, it probably wasn’t you!
add me too if you got room, we must beat ryry… hah
Ok, why is it that I can do cr.lk xx EX pinwheel pretty much without fail, but if you just add one more tiny little cr.lk on the front there, the blasted pinwheel refuses to happen?
Because you are canceling the cr.lk into another cr.lk instead of linking them. In order to cancel a normal into a special it has to be linked from the previous move.
Correct ways:
cr.lk ~ cr.lk xx pinwheel
cr.lk xx cr.lk ~ cr.lk xx pinwheel
Incorrect way: will not work
cr.lk xx cr.lk xx pinwheel
basically you are doing it too fast.
It refuses to happen because we’re not Chun-Li. We actually have to link.
Danke schon. And a pox on Chun Li.
edit: stupid post!!
I didn’t see it in de super combo list, but it’s a very nice one, and very easy. Maybe even the highest damage maker:
EX dive kick --> super (low and high will hit completely) - 530 damage - 140 stun.
edit: dammit, sorry i wasn’t thinking. it was so much fun to do haha sorry. clearly this isn’t possible
wat, how is that possible outside the training room? :\
Dunno if you wanna add counterhit options to this, but I’m sure you guys have seen ed ma doing this, and it works amazingly. Just condition the opponent after a c.lk to tech a throw and instead just hit close st.hp. And after that, cant really confirm it, but if you know it’s gonna hit cause they’re jab mashing or constantly throw teching you can combo into ex pinwheel or super.
I don’t know if anyone posted this, but
lk.fuhijan release to j.mp in the corner works on:
Sagat
Seth
T.hawk
Zangief
Abel
and Vega
Very quick tests though, so there might be more
Just found out something that helped me comeback against ibuki;
c. lk xx c. lk xx c.lk > low fuhajin (no hold)
if they quickly get up then they get hit by oncoming fuhajin and are open to anything you can think of
First day using Juri today. Wow. So fun! I wish st lk to cr mk was a 2 frame link though. I suck at 1 framers.
Is it seriously a 1-frame link? I’ve been hitting that more consistently than her c.lk x3. Try p-linking it; hit mk~lk where the link should be.
Is there anyway to p-link c.lk x3 without chaining it? Or do just have to practice the timing?
Yeah it’s a 1 frame link. LK x 3 can’t be plinked. You can’t ever plink a jab or short. You can chain the first 2 just not the last one.
I think we should start all start using her MP kara throw. I’ve been getting annoyed with looking like I’m in range for a throw but apparently I’m not.
^yup…
Personally I find the kara input to be very unnatural and strange…but I’m going to practice it bc her normal throw range is ASS
