Well...played SF4 for this first time today

did i?

Of course. all 3s only players think this =/ That was my point.

So much wasted bandwith.

Can’t let all the 3S hate go to waste.

good av pablo_the_mex

So is it the cool thing to bash 3S now :o

This is SRK, relentlessly and mercilessly bashing “not-good” games is our bread and butter.

Lol…yeah, like the other night, I saw some bitch jump in parry bullets, then did a c.mk into a SAII whore attack for the finish…realistic fighting…no joke man.

Gosh forbid “Hadoukens” are thrown out in real attacks all the time, so we need to make that more accurate and real.

:confused::rofl::tdown:

Although ST is not my favorite SFII version of all time, it is far from being boring. Hell, watching ST match ups at Evo have been some of the best fighting game match ups ever with all of the goodness that happens in it, especially from the semi-finals onward.

Ask anyone with reasonable and well broadened knowledge of ST and 3S who’d they’d rather watch, an O. Sagat vs Rog match up, or a Chun vs Chun match up, and if you reply back saying Chun vs Chun is better then you must like having sex with dry sandy vaginas.

ST isn’t that great either

too old for some people’s tastes

I’m not sure, but your post reminded me a lot of this thread.http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=99742
I don’t want to read that thread again, but I remember Viscant saying similar things in it. Either way, I agree with both of you.

:looney:

I don’t know what games you play, but if you don’t think you’ll discard them ten years from now for being too old you can cram it up your ass.

it’s been like that for a while now. many bitch ass brown nosers jump on the train to make themselves look smart even though they don’t know shit about it or just suck at the game in general:confused:

Awww someone maddd

This thread is full of lulz

ST is by far my favorite fighting game but I also like 3s I just hate watching the camp/meter building fest that 3s devolves into at top level play, at evo07 watching chun mirrors almost put me to sleep.

The universal parry system is kinda cool cuz it adds a unique element and I’m sure on some level it adds depth but sabre already explained why parry=fail. ST has it’s share of bullshit but it also has a good balance of guessing games, mind games, and execution while 3s is way to heavy on the former.

In defense of 3s though it’s hella fun at local tourneys/casuals because you see a huge diversity in the characters.

And yet, a solid rebuttal in defense of 3s has not been formed.

Indeed.

It’s fun to play, has provided thousands with countless hours of entertainment, and has been featured more than a couple of times at major tournaments worldwide?

I think that’s really all the rebuttal a fighting game needs.

Plus it’s been respected by top players, who are far better at any form of street fighter than we will ever be. It’s not cock-riding, but they know far more than I ever will, and if it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for me.

You do realize there’s at least a dozen fighting games you can also say that about???

It would be if we weren’t weighing it against other SFs that ppl still play at a high level(or just ST).

If I could, by some grace of God, win 3s tournaments then I’d be playing it too. But it’s around this point in anti-3s threads where someone would link to a post from Edma saying that he specifically dislikes parry in 3s to quash that counter-point.
