Seriously, does any one dare to recommend a supplement for losing weight?
Last year (during Christmas), I started taking “Hydroxycut” while I went to the Gym and ran for an hour every day. I did this routine (Gym in the morning + Hydroxycut, Healthy food + Hydroxycut, Afternoon run for 1 hour + hydroxycut) for two months. To be honest, I don’t know what the fu… made the difference at the end because I lost around 15 pounds.
I don’t know if it was the “Hydroxycut” or the excercise. For one thing, that “Hydroxycut” thing really gives you energy. The side effects were very hard on me so I stopped taking it. My heart was racing and of course that’s not good at all. I felt light headed post work out. And the worst of them all is when you stop taking that shit (Caffeine effect). You get this HUGE headaches that you feel like dying. I had to drink coffee after I stopped taking those pills to prevent the headache until I had them no more. I don’t drink coffee, but I had to
In conclusion, this is just my opinion on Hydroxycut. I am still asking myself if that shit worked. Do you guys have stories on those supplements? Before taking Hydroxycut, I read wonders about it, so I said “Why not.”
Magnus, since you said that doing squats/lunges with your own body weight isn’t really effective, how good is jogging for the legs then? I don’t really have any weights except a 100 lb barbell set =\
For jogging, your pace is suppose to be slow enough for you to talk to someone. I think it’s more for losing weight rather than building legs. I’m sure if you did a lot of running you would be able to get bigger legs. Though, it can’t be a small distance you do, that will probably just make you lose weight.
i work out 3 days a week (m/w/f) and do cardio all 5 days, i’ve been eating nothin but salads and different variations of eggs, scramble, omelette etc…, im 215 tryin to get down to 180 and be cut, anyone have a good routine, or lil tidbits to help me reach my goal faster?
You will definitely feel those headaches after your withdrawal from the drug. I don’t drink coffee any more. I just did so I could ease the pain little by little until I didn’t required caffeine in my body. You know, every pill of hydroxycut contains the equivalent to 3 cups of coffee (Yeah, that’s right), it is recommended that you reach the maximum amount which is 9 pills in a day :S
I only took 6 pills throughout the day. It’s fairly expensive for me, considering that I am a poor college student, so I just took 6 pills during the day. Also, those pills make not go to sleep :S I still don’t know what worked because this was my routine
M: Gym from 9:00-10:20 am + Hydroxycut
Eat some healthy food + Hydroxycut
Run/jogging from 5:00-6:10 pm+ Hydroxycut
T: --------------------------> And I did this all the way to Friday.
I kept running till Saturday though. I drank a lot of water and Gatorade. I did this for like 2 month and two weeks to be exact.
THE DUDE:
Yes, I read the entire bottle, including the drugs is contains. That statement of “One pill is equivalent to 3 cups of coffee” really scared me at the beginning.
looks like mine is different .
i took 3 pills and the type of caffaine is not concentrated as coffee :wasted:
i’m glad that the supplement will force the fats flow in to the blood vessels and used as energy which require 20 minutes of cardio to have this effect >__> without the supplement .
mine has this instructions .
take 1 or 3 pills 1 or 0.5 hour before meal .
do not eat more than 9 tablets in a day .
i don’t take hydroxycut by evening , or else i won’t able to sleep .
i took 3 pills straight , since i’m already advanced in my training .
and yeah that pills started to effect on my nerves and blood vessels when i started running at the treadmill and i ran for about 40 minutes . and i’m still not feeling lethargic O_O! .
i’ve dropped about 11 lbs with total 140 tablets in 1 bottle .
sadly , i did not use this supplement on my weight training >___>’’’’
Got my superdrol today. Waiting for my nolvadex and still gotta buy some support supps. Gonna keep a log in this thread when I start, probably sometime next week.
for those who are in the healthy weight and non-lean stage , it was advice to take 1 tablet instead.
for those who are obese , they should take 3 tablet and go workout .
the GNC saleslady also said that the supplement can be used for weight training too , i hope it works .
gets muscle pumped and fat is burned .
so our average calorie intake in 1 day how much ???
because we burn 2000 calories in a day even without workout , because of RMR(resting metaB rate)
edit : how does hydroxycut works ? well it just forces the fats to be flow inside the bloodstream and burn into energy , metabolism increases and mentallity became strong and fortified .
my brain wasn’t feeling blank or completely exhausted after having 40 min of jogging in the treamill , and i was still awake .
Sup peeps. I just got back into lifting just wanted to post in this thread. I have a workout plan set and this first week was just the feeling out process. Now it’s time to kick some ass.
So… it tricks your body into thinking you’re starving so it burns up stored fat for energy…??
I wonder what this drug shuts down in other parts of the body for this effect…
After running 30-60 minutes I don’t think I’d feel blank or completely exhausted being a runner and all… you kinda get used to running long distances when you pace yourself unless you’re running to beat your last time. Also typically people are wide awake after cardio sessions…
Though what you’re saying about boosted metabolism and mentality sounds interesting enough.
I’m curious as to why the lady recommended 1 tablet for leaner folks and 3 for obese… does it boost your metabolism that much that you’d dehydrate yourself or something if you took more?
Well, guess being lean myself 1 should be enough. Don’t wanna kill myself over something stupid.
My understanding is muscle is heavier. And that if you work out all the time, the toning process works such that muscle pretty much replaces it. Though you gotta work out all parts to get this throughout your whole body of course.
When you feel that burn from continous reps, that’s the feeling you want for the targetted muscle groups. Eventually it’ll start to look however you want it to with time.
Though the skin remains the same. No way to tighten that apparently outside of surgery.
Romie, as a pretty big guy, I imagine you know some pretty big guys. Do you know of anyone that DOESN’T take stuff like Hydroxal or Nevadrox or whatever?
Are we friggin’ hopeless if we don’t take that stuff?
Yeah, how well can a person do on just protein powder and creatine as supplements to a low fat, high protein diet? Anywhere near as big as the dudes in magazines? If not, what supplements will help add more mass? (don’t need weight-gain or fat-loss supplements)
