Man, my deadlift has plateaued at 335 for the past few workouts. I get my warmup sets in just fine, but once I get to the work weight I’m not able to get 5 reps out. I get 1-2 and then my body’s like “nope”. :disappointed:

Are you doing SS 5x5? If so, you’re supposed to deload at that point, right?

Other solutions would be to change your splits or hit deadlifts first or earlier in your workout.

I think I’m the only person in my gym who deadlifts and does face pulls. Well there’s one other guy but he does deadlifts and only deadlifts like x5 a weak which seems shitty to me. He’s like 5’3 and I’ve seen no change at all. Also, only in this gym would the pull up machine get broken, so much for “new” stuff. Just did pull downs instead since there’s nothing to hang off except the Smith Machine.

I deloaded to 315 yesterday and I can kinda see what the problem is. I’m more issues with grip than raw power; I can get the weight up but with multiple reps I can kinda feel my grip slipping. Double overhand feels more comfortable than the alternating grip at this point, it’s just a matter of being able to hold onto it. Would you recommend straps or is this just something that can be overcome with practice?

Work on your grip strength with shrugs

I don’t post much anymore in here but I’ve recently moved to Orlando (I used to live here for school 2 years ago). I’m planning to stay here permanently, and I’m currently working as a personal trainer. I just moved here this past weekend so I’m excited to see what Orlando has in store for me. I do plan to try becoming a physical therapy assistant in about a year possibly since I won’t have to go back to school for it.

There are people who deadlift 400+ lbs without wraps, so yeah you could just “man up”, get some chalk and push through…that said, I use wraps for anything over like 220.

Start on ground, get grip, stand up, wrench over shoulder, slam down, repeat with other shoulder.

This is pretty fucking hard. But the use of your body, grip, and stabilizing muscles is important.

Doing this with hundred pound bags.

Will attempt on humans soon. Honestly very cool move similar to turkish get ups.

Starting to cut now. Doing a P/P/L with cardio and cardio on my off day. Spiced sweet potato with some peppers and onions, with garlic chicken da bomb diggidy.

My arms are getting bigger and the traps are coming in, but the lack of chest thickness makes me sad

3x3min rounds jump rope 10-15 pushups immediately after each round
Light ab set (crunches leg raises bicycle crunch)
Stretch
Pullups
Tricep dips
Then whatever muscle group im hitting that day
If im not too dead i try to do one more round of jump rope at ez pace
Stretch
Protein shake

Go home

Meal prep

Anybody ever been treated for pelvic obliquity?

Which is the better route, chiropractor or massage therapy?

I went to the chiro for generalized lower back pain, and she treated me for that, plus pelvic obliquity, and shoulder tension. And had me quit the gym for 1.5 months while she treated me. Now the pelvic obliquity is back with a vengeance, to the point that I have sciatica, and I have no desire to quit the gym again, seeing how when I had to, I had mad depression during that time.

So what’s my best route?

Yoga, ddp yoga, and pillates

I was told to avoid yoga and do Pilates and use a foam roller.

But with this severe obliquity should I at least seek an adjustment?
