I would neg you again, but I can’t yet. Guess I’ll go rep some other people til then.

Well, it’s best to apply some type of scare tactic and then provide a solution in some way such as a pamphlet.

One of my books for class did a study on smoking where they used either a scare tactic, education of some sort, or a combination of both to help smokers reduce the amount of cigarettes they smoked. Apparently, the combination was the most effective for the longest amount of time.

This is actually the best advice, lmao.

Like I posted earlier, fat people who know they’re fat but don’t give a fuck can’t be changed by anyone other than themselves. THEY need to come to that moment where THEY realize it themselves. You can drill into their heads all you want, but until they fully accept the predicament they’re in, nothing will change them short of life and death situation.

http://www.t-nation.com/article/most_recent/the_4_stages_of_mental_mastery coincidentally enough, this article ties in with what we’ve been discussing. Fat people who refuse to make a difference are definitely in category 2.

Have you thought of swimming? It gives you the same kind of workout like running. Running on treadmill wouldn’t help your ankles any much more unless it was one of those anti gravity $70 K treadmill machines. Ellipticals and bikes at higher levels could be suitable substitute to running until your ankles feels ok.

Yeah I used to do more lower body exercises, although I forget the reasoning behind why I stopped lol. I’ll try including them in again to my workout. I’ll try out swimming too since my gym has an olympic sized swimming pool:tup:

Hmmm okay, that sounds like a pretty good plan, I’ll try that out instead of two on and one off, thanks!

This sounds like a stupid question, but how do I increase my bench?

I seem to make gains in ALL of my upper and lower body workouts except the bench press. It’s really disheartening.

I don’t know what to do, I’m just weak when it comes to the bench press.

Benching is the best way to improve your bench, i suppose

Bench heavy… somewhere in the range of your 5RM to your 1RM

You may want to try Rack lock-outs to target your tough spot too…

Make sure you give your muscles enough rest between max efforts

Mix it up with High rep days to build muscle hypertrophy if you are skinny

:wgrin: yea, for workout music, you basically need hard-hitting euro-dance music… nothing else does the job really. Search around on itunes for “euro club hits” or check this link::angel: http://electricfilebox.com/tracks

oh dang, it’s, uh, “jennylee324”.

glad to hear srk’s yellow fever doesn’t get in the way of birngin teh arpe.

A few weeks ago some serious stretch marks appeared overnight on both biceps. I’m guessing I overdid it with the bicep curls (all sets were until failure). -_-

I dont think I have ever gotten stretch marks… but I do get bruises appearing for no apparent reason…

My 5RM Bench Press just gained 10Lbs!
I was feeling so good I was expecting a 5Lb increase but a 10lb increase?! Today is a good day.

If doing more bench isn’t increasing your bench then it’s time to change up the routine. For all my workouts, I always change up exercises except for one anchor exercise. Like for my chest day, I’ll typically do 6-9 sets of a pushing exercise and 3-6 of a fly exercise. I’ll always keep the big compound movement in there. In this case, the bench. That’ll be my anchor.

But if that’s not improving, it’s time to switch up the anchor exercise for me. In this case, heavy dumbell presses. In many ways dumbell >>> barbell just because you need to use stabilizer muscles to maintain balance of the weight. That, and your arms are moving independently so you’re activating fibers that you don’t normally recruit.

Aside from all that, you really need to change up the exercises you do for chest and work all angles of it.

i’ve just received my first random bruise. i can’t recall hitting anything, but theres one right in the middle of my left manboob. doesnt even hurt when i touch it (like a normal bruise would)

I’ve never had bruises. I don’t know what you guys are doing to get them.

Anyways. Gonna start my serious stack on Monday. GreenMAG, White Flood, Purple Wraath, Animal Test, and Animal Pak. I’m lookin’ forward to it.

Yeah… its weird… it happened to me twice

I think its when I strain very hard from a certain exercise maybe I burst a vein LOL

I certainly hope not… you dont want that happening in your brain…

i could have just as easily and unknowingly got the bruise from a drunken night over the weekend haha

I’ve never received a bruise from lifting, but I do get random ones. It’s weird like “when the hell did this happen?”

im actually quite shocked about my bruise just cuz i dont bruise easily. i can get punched real hard and not get a bruise. i use to play football and i never got any bruises then either. it kinda freaks me out when i do get one haha

wow… Is it possible to die from having too much gas, cause I certainly felt it was…
I need to cut on eating so much around my work out…

I take a weight gainer just before a work out
Weight gainer immediately after a work out
Then half an hour later a full meal

Most of that is probably not being digested, causing this insane amount of gas…
I will cut my weight gainer intake after my workout in half and see what happens…
Any of you guys get this? eat that much around workouts?

Like I posted before, you’re simply eating too damn much. Your body isn’t digesting all that food, therefore the food sits and ferments, releasing massive amount of gas.

How often do you shit?

btw, Berserk = greatest manga ever.
