Lose more body fat. I’ve seen scrawny ass kid with lean abs and they barely have any meat.

I gotta say what one guy commented: Crap…more conflicting information.

Soldier Zero, thank you for all the info.

I keep nitpicking about the numbers so that I can be certain that I am getting the ‘max’ amount of protein I can. I figure 2 scoops of mine (23 x 2) should be a pretty good amount of protein. I’ve been going single scoop all this time and I think I’ll try double for a while. One in the morning and one in the evening.

Tuna concerns are far overstated. If that concerns you then you forget the hormones and mass antibiotic doses in livestock/poultry, the pesticide residuals in your veggies and the chances of mad cow/trich or other random food poisoning. There is also WAY to much micromanagement of diet going on here but then again lifting seems to be a haven for borderline obsessive compulsive types anyway, they crave the control and structure. Eat, sleep and lift guys, the results are gonna come.

PS* Magnus my phone has been out but should be back tonite.

<----obsessive compulsive type

<------- Consumes anywhere from 4-6 cans a day. That’s already 160 grams of protein for 6 cans of tuna.

Duc

why would you do that…that is pretty rediculous…

Roberth

Okay, I’m curious, are you not taking shakes? Or do you drink the protein shakes and eat up to 6 cans of tuna daily?

I don’t drink shakes or use any kinds of supplements. 6 cans of tuna is not much at all. I just had a can with bread and some okra which is dope. Maybe I’ll throw in some beef jerky around 3 o clock. I’m on a really strict cutting phase right now so low fat, high protein , and some carbs is my goal right now.

Duc

Use shakes man, supplements are what regular foods can’t give your body in a small amount.

One protein shake is more protein than a chicken breast and much easier to prepare.

It is also quicker to digest and totally personal preference. For the love of God you sound ridiculous telling someone not to eat tuna if he likes it in his diet.

One quick question and I’m out

I’m out of my mass gainer mix and I want to know what’s a real good one to buy. Also what are some recipes for some mass shakes.

Never said stop with the tuna, but he’s going consuming such a large amount of it daily that itself just seems ridiculous.

Don’t want to comment more since I don’t know his whole diet.

yesterday’s workout…

Squats…3x3…300lbs…1x3…275

this is the most weight I’ve squatted since I adopted a narrow stance and started squatting below parallel. My quads are the weakest link here…I’m workin on it.

Bulgarian Split Squats…3x8…35’s…40’s…40’s.

Still new to this exercise but it is killer…my legs are sore all the way around today…I use dumbells with this one and prop the back leg up on a bench

1Legged HyperExtensions…3x12…25lbs

I like these alot, I get a great stretch in the hammies. Although I think I will replace these with 1 legged RDL’s in the very near future. There is a lot more potential for growth with that exercise IMO.

so romanian dead lifts are supposed to hit your hammys??? cause i swear i dont feel anything in my hammys when im doing them…all in the quads…

i am assuming that is what you meant by RDL…

im outi

Roberth

they are for the posterior chain, consisting of the glutes, lower back, and hamstrings. If you straighten and lock the legs, you will feel a greater stretch in the hamstrings. I think I might actually do them…tonight I was showing them to a client and realized just how inflexible I really am…pathetic!!

Man… Magnus, I fucking love you lol… my strength “keeps going up exponentially” (in the word of my friend.) I want to cut more, so i’m cutting about 50 grams of carbs… doing this for about 10 days… Hoping to lose about 2 lbs. of fat :wgrin:

do you time your carbs?

If you are doing a straight caloric deficit then you only really need carbs in the morning or before/after a workout…this is what I’ve been doing and I have dropped some pounds…

I also jacked my protein intake through the roof…I think this has also helped me drop serious poundage recently…(I’m down six pounds already…haven’t been dieting long at all…

How much stronger have you gotten by the way???

what are your lifts and what were they??

Oh and by the way all you haters. One of my clients put 50lbs on his bench in 6 weeks!!!

And when you are done cutting…you may want to make some minor changes to the program…(to make it less metabolic…)

I only take carbs in the morning, pre and post work out. I take about 1.5 grams of protein/lb of bodyweight.

How much stronger?

Started off: 40 lb (just the bar)
now: 130 lb.

Bench: 90 lb.
Now: 150 lb.

Squats: 90 lbs.
Now: 150 lb.

I’m still pussy compared to most, but i’m working my way up. :wgrin:

so i took a look at another video of the romanian deadlift and basically noticed that i was doing it wrong, i was doing a normal deadlift, i could have sworn the first vid i checked out was for a romanian deadlift, which apprently it wasnt…

anyway, they are like a modified version of a stiff leg deadlift…so i will switch it to the RDL next time (tomorrow) i am doing them…
