Actually, the new SF fightsticks are designed around the anvil weight system, so you wont have any troubles with it! lol

I hot glued 2 giant bolts inside mine. They probably weigh a little more than a pound each. Keeps my american stick in place quite nicely, only drawback is lugging it around at tourneys cuz it’s heavy.
Does the bear do anything? Like dispense M+Ms from it’s mouth?
I recently came across the self-adhesive eDead 120 soundproofing material. It is flexible, you cut it to fit with scissors, and you can layer it for even more weight. It’s relatively cheap and can be attached to pretty much anything. I used it INSIDE my Xbox 360 Hori EX2 and am very happy with the additional weight. Since arcade sticks are making a massive comeback, and not everyone can bolt theirs to a table, I thought this thread might need a bump as it is a very relevant question.

For my T5 stick i just got a bunch of coins & put in those bubble wrap…I then insert the bubble wrap w/coin in the plastic hole where you insert the screws…Gives it good weight…
I say, forget the see-through bottom, and go with a wooden bottom. Then load the inside with extra wood, which should double as reinforcement if you do it right.
You can easily get more creative with adding weight. Gorilla glue will be your friend, it will glue layers of sheet metal to each other and to the wood even. You can still make it nice by adding an additional thin layer of wood on top of the sheet metal, and painting it to your hearts content, so it matches the rest of the box.
This is assuming you don’t have the means to cast metal into the bottom of the box, or make the box out of marble.
On my SF4 SE, I used stick on wheel weights. After you take the back panel off, I stuck them to the metal panel itself on the inside. They are super low profile and dont interfere with anything inside. I work in the automotive industry and got them from my work, Pepboys or anyother auto store will stock them super cheap, too!
I used them b/c I wanted it to be heavier/more sturdy, hope that helps, cheers mate!
That’s a great idea thanks for posting that. I am definitely going to pick some of these up.

any canadians look into this?
i’m going to start checking around
all you niggas got it wrong
my smack is portable when need be, two 10lb weights on the sides and when necesarry a front third slot for another weight
jost make a base for your stick and your set!
pics coming soon!
that seems like an awesome idea. what are the stick on wheel weights normally used for? there’s a hardware store by me (no auto stores around here in NYC) and i don’t want to walk in there and be like, “I need them to weigh down my fight stick” lol. also, how easy is it to remove them once you’ve stuck em on, in case i don’t like how it feels?
I think DreamTR has a arcade stick that has a built in stand and the stand has like 100lbs of concrete in it. that sucker ain’t movin.
I don’t give a shit about my coffee table, so i just grabbed some 3M Dual Lock strips and slapped em onto the table and the bottom of my stick…basically works like velcro.

Rolls of pennies stuck to the insides like suicide bomber dynamite.
