My dream is to become the best non tatsu vega in the world. I will be known as wallaby noah when that day comes.
Ive been in 2 tournaments in the recent months and i placed 5th (33) and 5th (23). Im gonna be in another tournament next Friday and i wont settle for anything less than 1st.
Everytime i go to your spot i always try to play the best players there but theyre always on PS3’s. I’m always down for group discussions. There’s a gang of shit i still dont know.
By the way can you put me down for this Wednesday so I can get my pad steez on.

If I’m going to use my time to level up the community, I expect the following -
Class Materials:
BYOS - Bring the stick(s) you intend to use at the next console tournament.
Notebook,Pen/Pencil - I’m going to spit the grand knowledge of SF to your virgin ears, I expect you to write down as much info as possible. (I’ll explain the lesson plans later)
Q/A:
Q:Alex why do I have to do this?
A: You are spending a lot of time playing casuals and there’s little to no improvement.
Q:Can I just play casuals?
A:Of course you can play casuals, only after given a lesson plan or instructed otherwise.
Q:What lesson plans?
A: (Read Lesson plans below)
Q:Will you teach me at an indiviual level?
A: I will teach both ways individual/group sessions.
Q:Will you gaurantee that I become a top SF player?
A: Obviously no. However, you will know what you’re doing right/wrong and given personal advice on how to overcome your ceiling (or plateau).
Lesson Plan:
These questions will determine what fields I need to teach so have them prepared by Weds -
- Who’s your main character and why?
- Tell me about your tournament career and what keeps you from placing top?
- What are your good/bad match ups.
- How much SF4 do you play a week?
- What are you doing to practice for tournaments?
Comments:
I know some of you place high in tournaments already, but you are very inconsistent or you just need another pair of eyes/ears to give you that extra umph to keep you on track.
The rest of you- you are very lucky to live in a time where people help each other. Before internet madness, everybody sandbagged or didn’t like each other because of pure SF ego. Nobody wanted to help, or there was a lot of down talking to new players that resulted in an OG-New player grudge(the dark era from 3s/CvS2).I believe the time for sharing info and keeping up with the times is extremely important and can only strenghten our community playerbase.

^ I think u can probably start a class at a JC or a learning annex to teach street fighterz. I would sign up either way (and others too probably). I think some ex starcraft pro is gonna do it for starcraft in Korea and people have done it for pokerz.

This is a pretty cool idea.
Here’s a suggestion: maybe a separate meeting place for those of us who really want to get tournament/competitive level, but aren’t quite there yet and don’t really want to use up a slot so the best can play the best and level up faster.
Sort of like a Street Fighter Development League.
