Should I get exceed lvl 2 and 3 or Instant-Exceed?
Is CE limited enough that I would need to snag one now to ensure a copy? Or would it be available down the line?
:u: You might as well snag one now, theres no telling when they’ll just stop making it. It might be random, especially since it didn’t seem like people reacted to this one very well. I only saw the Lost Planet ones for maybe a month, but I still see the Call of Duty 4 ones.
So it looks like skill prices do go up as you buy skills. It’s not really anything more than an annoyance, though.

when fighting Credo how the hell do you throw his lance back at him like in the trailer? only thing ive done with the Devil Bringer was punch the shit out of him
So I’m starting to get down “Smokin’ Style!!” combos, but the SSS eludes me. I wonder if it’s because I lack the skills (or because I myself lack the gaming skillz) or if there’s just not enough stuff to kill, or what. Either way, :sad:.
The buffer you make Nero, the easier it is to crank up the style points. Also doing rev combos helps a lot too.
I bought MAX-Act after saving up some souls for a few missions… and it’s way too hard to be worth it, IMO.

Leave that mission alone for the moment, and go back once you’ve acquired the shield skill. Grab a scarecrow, use him as a shield, and let the Frost attack you. After you shield an attack, taunt.

Devil Trigger Nero is bad fucking ass. Now I HAVE to beat Must Die mode to unlock unlimited gauge.
On an added note . .the scenery in DMC4 is so BEAUTIFUL and varied that I honestly dont think im gonna mind seeing it a second time with Dante.
I guess you’re right. I remember the MGS3:Subsistence CE being super rare but the FF12 CE not so much. I’m a sucker for these things.
Do you keep all of your moves and abilities that you acquired in devil hunter mode when you want to do another difficulty like son of sparta?
I hate that one mission where you have to find the hidden red orbs. I just don’t bother with it anymore. Anyone else try it? I forgot which secret mission number it is, but it’s in that mansion level.
Some of these secret missions are brutally hard… like 6 where you have to kill all the Chimera before they fuse with the Scarecrow. Seriously wtf were they thinking when they made some of these. -_-
Anyone know how to beat Dante 2? I managed to beat him using a lame tactic, but I couldn’t figure him out at all since he literally dodges everything.
So I picked up the CE today (80 DAMN DOLLARS!!! FOR ONE GAME!!!). Has the exceed system already been covered in this thread? There’s a whole lot of pages and I don’t know where to begin looking…need help understanding that stuff.
Omg yea… I was telling my friends that while I was talking to them on live. I’m like “WTF are you supposed to do in order to stop them” They’re like a bunch of roaches at a thanksgiving dinner. Makes no sense…
Also that one special move called “Showdown” is hella slow when it starts up. If nero gets hit while charging it the thing just gets cut off and it’s hard to hit it on enemies cause they don’t stand still. It does look cool however…
And Dante is BEASTLY when you’re fighting him. He mimics like all of your moves when you try to do them. I clashed with him so many times it was crazy lol! But it’s real cool that his AI is good.
It’s more or less been covered. One thing about it that hasn’t been covered, though, is the difference between Exceed, Exceed 2, and Exceed 3. I’m on 2 right now, and it doesn’t seem at all different from 1. It did give me this weird gauge under my DT gauge, but I can’t figure out how to charge that or anything.
