DMC3 is harder and I think GoW 2 is VASTLY overrated.

I think DMC4 is totally worth it. TONS of replay value and it’s really well done. Plus, the graphics are exponentially better.

A few things I’ve found while playing through once again:

  1. Easy SSS on Faust: Clash with one ov his slash attacks (preferably the Double Stab). Then repeatedly clash with him until he’s out ov range (I use Shuffle w/ Nero). He should be at least S…now blow his cloak away and Streak>DTB>Showdown for the SSS!! This is actually quite useful on all BP stages that contain a Faust with other enemies, for you can focus on him and run through everyone else, netting you SSS-ranked seconds on the clock.

  2. Blitz ‘Instant’ Red Form: You have to work fast with this one. Maul Blitz’s aura, then Streak>DTB>Buster (mash) + Swords (deactivate during Buster), Streak up and Buster again, now when he’s getting up DTB him (he should fly upwards if done right) and ready Showdown. BEFORE the final few Yamato slashes Blitz will ‘instantly’ teleport out ov your attack and begin his ‘red aura’ assault without charge up time. Sometimes the Blitz will be ‘naked’ during this time (no red aura)…glitch perhaps.

  3. Devil Buster’d Basilisk projectile attacks kill Assaults/Frosts in one hit at point blank range (because ov the multiple projectiles).

I could’ve had some more fun messing with the enemies…if they were much more difficult. This game is too easy…with Nero…

The PC version is phenomenal, easily one of the best ports ever. And like everyone said, it doesn’t really tax your hardware too much.

Wow, I finally finished Royal Blocker Secret Mission 8 for my final Blue Orb…fuck that mission lol. Working on unlocking Bloody Palace at the moment.

I ended up getting DMC4 for PC, game is too dope.

Legendary Dark Knight mode is fucking RIDICULOUS!! :looney: :amazed: There will be up to 30+ enemies in a room at any given time haha, DT activation gives you an instant SS on the style meter lol.

Anyone here besides myself that has knowledge ov True Style Tournament 4?

I MAY debate on entering…not sure yet though…

I needs me some Secret Mission help, plz? #11, WTF? Destroy both statues under 30 seconds - I get that but I can’t seem to get Pandora laser to hit the target even when I’m standing right in front of it. I’ve watched this video on youtube and this is the method shown:

Stinger to the bottom of the stairs>Pandora laser #1 statue>turn and speed run to #2 and repeat Pandora laser on #2.

Problem is my laser doesn’t seem to hit. I know I have to be facing it directly otherwise it misses, but it’s like the range isn’t there? Do I need a full disaster gauge?

The second method I’m trying is DT Stinger repeatedly until #1 is destroyed . turn DT Stinger some more and speed run to #2.

Problem with that is speed seems to take 5 or more second to kick in where as this other video I’m watching, it kicks in almost immediately.

WTF am I doing wrong?

edit: Shit! I’m trying method #2, I have a full DT guage but just now realized that its depleted almost immediately after doing only a few Stingers. I have 10 DT orbs and they’re empty in 5 seconds.

Video #2 is using Super Dante (infinite DT), which isn’t unlocked until you beat Dante Must Die difficulty.

When using Pandora’s Revenge form, your aim must be very precise. AFAIK, there is no range limit, but you do have to be lined up exactly straight on the statue. If you go in to that Secret Mission with full DT, you can shoot the first statue from the doorway, then turn and DT-run (with Speed upgrade) to the other and Stinger into it before the timer runs out. You only have to precisely shoot one of them this way.

If you can aim the laser, you should never even touch the stairs. Just stay on the platform and blast the statues. Yeah, it’s a tough mission.

DT Stinger drains meter for every use, so don’t use it. It’s not faster than regular Stinger either.

I’ll give it a shot when I get back home tonight. Thanks.

Just my luck. This thread pops up when I longer have my friends 360 I just want to know one thing:
What’s the fastest way to kill a Blitz with Nero/Dante? Give me as much detail as possible.

Are you wanting to know about on a specific difficulty?

Sure. Son of Sparda/DMD. It’s not that I find a Blitz hard… I just want to kill it fast.

I posted this a long time ago.

The best combo, after the shield is down, is to do a DT Dance Macabre combo, switch to Beowulf, jump kick over there (and hit him with it), and then use a modified DRI (don’t turn off DT until the last hit). The Blitz will then bring its shield back up, so jump kick him in the face, and that should be that.

How you get rid of the shield, on the other hand, is up to you. I personally use point-blank charged shotgun blasts, but you can also try the multi-parry thing or spamming Lucifer’s Pin Up.

Yeah my favorite thing to do to take down a Blitz’s shield with Dante is just Royal Guard + Gilgamesh, get in his face and start punching.

I still find getting past certain levels in BP to be hard though. With Nero I have trouble killing things quickly enough, whereas with Dante I have trouble keeping my health up. 44 is the highest level I’ve passed.

I use charged shotgun blasts. Not a fan of Lucifer and I suck at RG since I never practice using it.

RGing the shield down is the easiest thing in the whole game to use RG on. You basically just alternate Punch, Block, Punch, Block. Roll when needed.

How difficult is DMD mode? Are we talking increased difficulty, more enemies at a time or both?

It sucks that DMC4 didn’t do well in PC sales…I thought it was a great port.
