Yeah I just did that one.I need M16/M18 for all of them. The parasite crows and zerks fucking suck. All I really do with them is switch to trickster and use Coyote and Pandora. Pandora for style obviously and Coyote for pushback. Mix them up for style and throw in a helm buster / stinger when your feeling lucky or seperation purposes. Also I use the Tremors to take me down about 3-4 times to get style points off off some parasite crows and regular zerks. But there IS a chance that you will get parasite zerks so keep that in mind.

Regular Zerk lizards: Free style and be aware of the burrowing attacks and their pokes.
Parasite Crows: Coyote mob until you have one seperated and freestyle with Pandora.
Parasite Zerks: Trickster and Coyote. Thats it. They’re way to fast for anything else.

Took me about 4 tries, until i scurried away with an S. I hate the forest missions.

@Azrael: I was trying to until I found out it wasnt an achievment  I was just Snatching/enemy stepping/taunting everyone. Then finished with an EX whatever. It was kinda working

Dodging enemy attacks and taunting gets your rank up pretty good.

Cool. I’ll try that out. I don’t ever use Pandora, so that might be my problem. I’ve been relying on Coyote for knock-down and then I’d run in and either do a quick Yamato combo or Kick-13.

As for 16, that’s the one where you have to go to Berial, right? There are a TON of hidden orbs in that damn place, so take your time to explore. As for Berial himself, Lucifer wrecks his shit really bad (the description says you can put down an infinite number of blades, but that’s a lie. In actuality, the game can only handle something like 18 blades at a time. If you put down more, the first ones you put out will immediately explode). Run up to him and load him up with blades via forward+R1+Triangle (not sure about Xbox controls, but it should probably be obvious to you). Then keep doing it to blow up the blades six at a time.

Alternatively, you can do a bunch of Real Impacts.

As for 18…yeah. Just try to be really fucking fast.

Yes, but it won’t help you. What happens is that, at each style ranking, the amount of points you accrue for each successful attack will net you more points. The problem is that everything in this mode dies in one hit, so even with SSS (good luck getting there), you’ll only get something like 6 points per gunshot or 30-ish points per slash. That’s a far cry from the thousands of points you’ll need to score an S for Style.

Okay, so SoS mode has been completed with all S ranks.

Time for DMD.

EDIT: I ended up just refining the same strat I was using previously, since I found that I totally suck with the Pandora anyway. For the Chimera Assaults, I would use charged shotgun blasts to knock down, and then run in and do punch, punch, Yamato slash (x3), and then roll out while unloading another shotgun blast. I ended up with SSS, with my time just under 19 minutes, my style points around 7500, and my orbs at 96%.

EDIT 2: Here’s a huge tip for getting some extra orbs. If you ever run into one of those giant red crystals you need to smash up, DT before you do anything to it because your attacks in this state will make it drop a LOT more orbs.

EDIT 3: Even though I did okay for these missions, I’m having trouble finding some orbs in missions 11 and 19. In 11, I find every hidden cache and kill all the enemies (and break the adjudicator), but I only end up with some 85% of the orbs. For 19, I actually go around each board twice, grabbing all the blue spaces and about half the red ones, and I still only get around 87% or so. What gives? What am I missing?

did you hit those columns at the end of Mission 19 before you go into the portal for the final boss? Cause those columns have hidden orbs.

In mission 19, don’t forget to break the pods in the area where you fight Echidna. In mission 11, you could try back-tracking from the start of the level and break some stuff in the room where you fought Dante, as well as other previous areas.

so, just beat it in between work shifts, finally. The last boss was a pushover.

SO I guess we never find out what the fuck Nero is or what his relation to sparda was? kind of lame, but ok. satarting SoS mode now. I will arpe with great arping power.

Ill definitley try the Lucifer method. Oh and I got an S in speed in M18 lol. Apparently I didnt combo enough  Pulled an A

Anyone know what Bloody Palace rank is based on?

P.S. Angelo Credo is too awesome. " behold the power of an angel!" and " I will crush you with all I have!" go through my head when I play his mp3 on the I-pod:lovin:

Try doing combos on the Bianco and Alto Angelos who hover around the Savior.

As for me, it seems that, as long as I actually finish the mission in DMD mode, I’ll get an S. The problem is not getting killed in the first place. :wasted:

Mission 18 took me fucking forever to clear on DMD. No matter what I tried I could not knock down the Savior in the actual boss fight. :bluu:

3, 5, 1, 4, 2, 6

That’s the dice pattern. It never changes.

Savior is actually quite easy…well, if you weren’t going to care about the rankings.

  1. Don’t worry about the Knights coming at you. You don’t need to fight them, and they will die on their own

  2. Got to fire your handgun at all times

  3. When he fires the 5 small green balls at you, they can easily be shot down by your handguns and replenish your DT

  4. Then when he fires the fireballs at you, just jump to other platforms

  5. As you run around and evade his chops, just remember that besides the first two Blue Orbs that are on his left arm, all the other ones require you using the Missile/Cannon to knock him down, then you can break those blue orbs. Jump around the platforms when he is down to make sure you got all the blue orbs. If he gets back up before you can do so…just shoot the cannon at him again

  6. When he is at his last stage where he fucking tries to nuke you, you pretty much just have to evade, attack his hand as they stay on the platform for few seconds, jump around, use your handgun the whole time. THEN finally you want to wait for he pops out right in front you, you DT and spam stinger to break him as that is your only chance to do substantial damage to him

Hope this helps

Might as well just drop a bunch of Holy Water, then.

Uh… in case you didn’t get what I said, I said I couldn’t knock him down at all during the actual boss fight, so I couldn’t do enough damage to him to knock him down… even with DT Stinger spam. I know how to do everything else just fine… it’s not like I haven’t beaten him in other difficulties before. :\

=(

I did though

best of luck

edit: yeah my bad for misreading

Man, I hate Agnus and his fucking laser floor.

People should just DRINK IT DOWN!

DMC4 is too good.

Played up to the seventh mission on my friend’s PS3. Great game and Nero plays really well. Only thing is it’s REALLY hard to land the instant rev in the middle of combos. I mean if you just do it right before a high roller or whatever it’s fine, but there’s no way I could keep doing it. Stupid Japanese execution heavy games =(

I mean, I get that it’s not absolutely necessary, but I WANT to do it, it just looks so AWESOME haha.

Anyway I’m actually sorta glad taht he only has two weapons, makes it much easier on my mind to do combos n such whereas of course with DMC3 there was so much you could do it was hard to keep track.

Kinda glad it’s a little easier, devil hunter mode feels just right personally, at least starting out. Since I played it I got a hankerin for DMC3 and played some and remember just how much harder that ridiculous game is. Kinda takes some of the fun out sicne if you can’t use Royal Guard effectively you’re goign to be relying on your guns ALOT in bossbattles,(like Cerberus) which isn’t fun at all. Well good thing DMC4 solves that by making them all available. Haven’t played with him yet of course, but lookin forward to it.

Graphics are great to look at and I honestly love the cheesy-ness of Nero’s battle sayings… “KUH-RAAAZY!”

It wasn’t until DMD that I found out you could stand in the center of the room and the laser floor won’t touch you. Unfortunately it’s almost impossible to dodge swords that swoop in on you (rather than than ones that fly straight at you) while you’re waiting for the floor to clear up. :frowning:

It just takes practice. I can do the basic 4 hit combo and get instant revs 100% (though not MAX revs) of the time, as well as most of his other moves. The only thing I can’t seem to get the timing for his is S, S, delay, Sx4 combo. :\

ugh, fuck that first agnus fight. shit is gay.

Oh, one thing I’m kind of annoyed with; Nero vs. Mephisto and the other ones in whcih I forget the name of.

Is there no real effective way to get them to their true form with Nero? With Dante i just air-hike and then Rain storm or shotgun them. But since I find blue rose to be shitty, and I don’t have charge shot 3 yet, I t usually takes me a while to break them with nero. any ideas?
