We Need More Tekken 6 Players in Seattle

elias: if you cant think of a good combo. my suggestion is to use a move that will result in smacking them to the ground. you can run up and do incredible bullshit while opponents are grounded. hit them grounded, if they are trying to stand up, throw, you can try a generic d/f+1 and try to catch them rolling which will give u another combo. Or make some stuff up be creative.

What are your best options in general against predictable side rollers? Sweep?

I know how to deal with backroll, that shit is gravy. Lars seems to have hella backroll punishers. I’m talkin’ bout side rolls, silly.

god I hate how many moves there are in this game. I spend so much time in training mode with Lee trying to learn a few of the basics and as I learn new stuff the old stuff just gets pushed out. figured out his b2~f juggles but I forgot half his movelist while doing so. the only reason I can remember Lars’ movelist is because I played him so much because of the campaign mode :lol:

So I just picked 1 character, and don’t really play any other character, ever.

The Lars shit is like engrained in my brain. Maybe because it’s my first Tekken character, but it’s burned in my brain. Sometimes I’m not even thinking about fighting games and I just picture Lars doing his d/b2,1, or d/f1. Too much campaign mode. I don’t even wanna play this game competitively. :lol:

not all moves are good. a LOT of the moves in tekken are very shitty. Many people will argue that tekken has a LOT of situational moves. I call bullshit on that. that is a scrub answer.

Tekken is a game where you can give your good moves extra range by dashing. if you have a short range low that is good, you can turn it into a long range move with a dash.
this is how I think tekken players overcome the missing tools in a characters toolset.

most good offensive moves can be good defensive moves if you use a backdash.

I would suggest you pick 2 characters. a top tier, and a character you like to play. as far as learning new characters go… basically you should just do this
remember a characters easy launcher. d/f+rp, u/f+rk
remember a easy juggle.

now you can play any character at atleast a scrub level.

There were eleven people at Jeromie’s on Saturday. The only people with even a passing interest in Tekken were Ray and myself. Simon didn’t even care to play it. I know you like T6 as well, but that’s all the people I know. I met Geesemaster on the trip to NorCal, but I didn’t get his info or anything, I don’t know if he plays offline or whatever. You know any Tekken peeps I don’t know about then? Because I would like to play them.
