I loved GGPO when it worked on my friggin’ PC, hopefully Paul Lee can come over some time and maybe fix it?

Anyways I was on 2DF last night and played over 50 games straight with BBH, that guy is really good at a diverse number of games, I was streaking pretty hard at first but then I got sleepy at around 3am and he came hella hardbody, so the final schore was like 35-24 him or something. Awesome set.

Now, about this bullshit of Axel killing ST…no he didn’t. My only beef with Axel Kelly is that he lives in my SAME CITY now and he never will come over to play me, and actually complained that it’d be “like…a twenty minute drive.”

I actually think if anything is to blame for killing ST it’d be the seasons/rankings, because you fags don’t ever want to play the game unless it’s for a fucking ranking or something, which is why there are no tournaments in ST until after evo…GTFO of here with that weak ass shit, if you want to play a casual game get into Smash, ST is only even fun when it’s played seriously, because there aren’t that many fun combos or flashy things to do to show off…the game is about who can be the cheapest, most vindictive little whore, which can only be proved in tournament play.

Axel needs to play with us more. Sandbagging constantly in casuals is kind of a bitch move, too. This is at you, Axel! Don’t play to win tournaments, play your best always to improve and help the scene around you improve as a whole, as well.

But yeah… people don’t play the game enough in seattle unless its tournament. Maybe you could hold gatherings? Give some more opportunities for people to play!

Unfortunately, this is too true. A lot of people played at the beginning just to help the scene grow, and when it started to thrive, they became content and left, flocking back to marvel and VF5.

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. Keith, you need to show up at Zach’s again before you can judge the scene. Seriously, be a part of the scene again if you want to see it thrive.

I see no reason why the ST players cannot congregate even though the official season has ended. Someone run some $1 tournaments. Zach has yet to ban the game and I know I am there every damn time. Keith even has gatherings that sometimes feature ST, even though Marvel steals the show.

Indeed. This needs to happen. At Julien’s, Nate’s, Elias’s, Keith’s, and Julian’s places. Y’all need to stop bitching about fifteen minute drives to go play ST. That’s how long it takes me to drive to town! And still, Mount Vernon shows up more regularly than any of you! Except Nate. He’s got more heart for ST than most of y’all combined.

Anyone up to play ST this week before Zach’s? If anyone’s willing to hold an afternoon gathering and hold it til late, I’m willing to make the trip.

What can I say, I like variety… I’m competent at a lot of less popular games, but not super pro at any of them… except for FHD :looney:

After a long and hard session with Julian, I plan to unveil my Gief at Evo. My goal is to make people hate this game, yet marvel at my skills. You see unlike other gross ass characters in this game, there is a certain amount of panache needed to play Gief. I mean, sure you can beat me by spamming stupid ass fireballs with chun plus crouching roundhouses, boxer rushes, DIC TOD combos, or try to get me in ochio throw bullshit along with headbutts, but please believe that you come across as low budget even when you win. There is no sense of gratification in such hollow victories. I hope all I fight is Claws, boxers, and DICtators for evo. Hardbody status all day.

Besides, there is nothing more satisfying than cross up splash, cr. jab x 2, st. short into SPD, followed up but jumping short tick into super. Just the mere fact that I put my cursor over Gief and proceed to select him makes me the winner by default. When people play me they will forget their combos, setups, gay frame data, and mind games. My opponents shall be consumed by fear.

Pablo, you definitely reminded me more in spirit today of the oldskool Pablo who beat me at Randomselect more than the recent Pablo. I now wouldn’t mind you playing Gief, but plz continue to use FABs and cheap ass SPDs. They infuriate me because I think that Gief is a stupidly designed character, but also I root for you whenever you play any game, ALL DAY. Especially in Marvelz.
