I won the first game pretty handily, then that started, hella grimey…
Yeah, I would’ve preferred to not have a room of 20 god damned people talking over each other while I was trying to fight you, too, but hey, shit happens. I’d also like to not be seeded against keith or julien in my second fight every tourney, but that doesn’t happen either. 
I’d like to not be seated against Nate first round, then always put up against the one guy who I play against ALL THE TIME in losers. No matter what skill levels we reach, Paul and I may as well just flip a coin to see who wins between us.
That’s how I felt when I had to fight (read: lose to) LTB in 3rd strike at random select. :shake: Then my bye before that was equipment failure. My tourney luck is fucking sweet.
Was Nate seeded in that tournament? I thought the seeds got placed apart, and then the rest got put in randomly.
I think people complain about matchups too much… even if you win you’ll eventually face Mandel or Beaseley or Axel and most likely lose anyways, the gerber bracket can only be so big.

I don’t have any tapes. I ripped the previous tournament to my HD but I don’t have the software to snip them for youtube anymore, something is wrong with my computer or something (I would be back in business if I had an XP install disc most likely).
The tournament from friday, I dunno, maybe Preppy has it, I have no idea, I left shortly after Poker ended.

Well see, that’s the thing…
- I can actually beat Axel and am never against playing him.
- I honestly don’t think I’ve ever played Mandel in ST, much less in a tournament.
- And when I was at axel’s the other night I learned how fucking PIMP dhalsim’s j.mp is against claw (so much horizontal range), so I’m less worried about keith and his bitch ass claw, too.
…It’s just beastly that I hate getting put up against because I seriously only remember two tourneys where I didn’t get matched up with(read: knocked out of the tournament by) him. I’m like the newest, worst ST player (not counting people who kinda play it on the side but don’t take it seriously) and I get put up against the #1 vet that’s just now lost his undefeated title. :lol:

Edit: Nix the 14th. Completely slipped my mind that it’s Valentine’s Day. It’s a marketer’s holiday, but I’ll pander. I’ll pass on fighting games in order to not get my ass kicked. Weekend might still be open if there is interest.

Yesterday I was told that they’re gonna have a ST HD Remix tourney at PAX this year. Very tight. I remember during their SC II tourney at Lanwerx a few years back, I was there playing Marvel. During the finals it was Super Joe against Robert, and Frank says something like “Aww you gotta break that Robert.” To which I yelled out “BREAK THAT SHIT NIGGA!”
That very moment I felt the countless stares of many Ivy nerds as I ran back to the cabinet to finish playing a real game.

Guile being in SF4 is very bomb.
Zangief and Blanka look terrible. Most of the game looks kinda gross, IMO. It just seems like really high-res all-too-simple designs so far. Like VF without the visual detail, only the capacity for it.

Aside from the shotos, they all look pretty damn good.

I really just meant that it’s visually unpolished. Like they said, it’s not even close to being done, so I think the textures will get better as time goes on.
Frankly, I kinda like how its looking so far, I think that Ryu going for the Daniel-san at age 30 look is pretty funny, and I think all the other characters are looking pretty good too.
