I have to say, that ultra seems really out of place for the character. Doesn’t fit the style of the rest of his move set at all.
from what we’ve seen, i’m not really liking the new ultras. they all seem wack and campy. seth’s was ok smacking the opponent to the screen; now cody too? c’mon. akuma’s taz kick is out of character, like mikecookies (c wut i did thar?!) said. and wtf is up with dhalsim’s? i know i’m biased and all, but that’s just ridiculous.
akuma could’ve been given his crazy one hit super judo chop from the sky like in CVS2 and 3s or something to that effect. and Sim could’ve had his yoga jump, air catastrophe or like… just not do those damn headbutts. haha. but then again… i wonder what the properties are like with all of them. the properties are hopefully worth the ugly animations. but that’s just me.

Looks like that Akuma v Adon video is the only video I’ve seen that gives promise to all the claims that the game’s been sped up. I probably should’ve guessed that they would’ve given him his 3S hurricane kick super art thang as his second ultra.

While the new ultras are a bit more um… glamorous than their original counterparts, I think Dhalsim’s new one is the silliest yet. Smacking a character upside down like a bungie? Nothxbye.
Cammy’s ultra is like a King multi throw from Tekken. Viper’s is pretty epic.

That would be awesome. I think that Seth’s bullet kick is the most pretentious special move in the game.

I’m disspaointed that it isn’t KKZ…but the fact that it will be combo-able after dP-fadc makes me happy…even raw it doesn’t do that much dmg but makes people fear the BnB all the more…it looks pretty weird though…
Plus he’s already basically S-tier he’s right under sagat in the arcade rankings…but fianlly a ultra that isn’t a gimmick…I’ll continue the use of demon but this’ll be good against gouken/Ken/Cammy…people who have things on jump in that beat cMK->demon

Its a hyper stylized messatsu go rasen, which is tight because that was my favorite super of his in third strike.
If you look closely the Akuma’s second ultra is Demon Armageddon. Also the blog is up, check out some concept art there, balrog’s is hella gangsta, and Cody became a Final Fantasy cast member.
DJ’s 2nd Ultra is crazy haha! Doesn’t connect fully if you hit the opposing player in the air. Rufus’s 2nd Alt is Taz esque as well but fitting.

Yup…A bunch of people picking existing characters and not using the 2nd ultras =[. I’ve only seen Juri’s II, Dee Jay’s II, and Rufus’ II on this stream so far. Lots of Rufus.
