Sakura doesn’t fit into the easy cheese I was talking about, I just think she is fun and her links are hella tight. Also yeah, Nolan has some SIIIICK reset with her that was fucking me UP a while ago!!

Yeah I was using Boxer when the game came out, but then I got so bored I almost quit SFIV, he seriously is boring as hell to play and I HATE him in this game.

SFIV is a pretty cool game.

I think we all can agree there is some pretty gay shit in it, however.

For the next iteration this is what I would like to see:

  1. Put a cooldown/timer on ultra so you can’t just squat on it. The game pretty much slows to a crawl when both players have ultra.

  2. Gief’s lariat needs to not hit crouched characters. Mad retarded.

  3. No more trade uppercut to ultra. Mad retarded.

  4. I don’t have any specific suggestions, but they need to make Balrog less braindead to play. Make more of his shit punishable or add frames to his crouch jab. I don’t know.

  5. Make all the console characters non-gay. Let’s face it, they all fucking suck. Most of them could be vastly improved by at least giving them REASONABLE ways to combo to ultra. Sorry, but it is, yes, mad retarded that Ryu gets more ways to combo his ultra than all the console characters put together. Little shit could help them so much. Give Cammy an overhead. Give Gouken’s j.mp the properties of Ryu’s and make the frames on his back throw normal.

  6. Nerf Sagat’s f.rh. Nerf Bison’s s.rh.

  7. Give Sagat normal life OR reduce his damage output 5-10%.

  8. Get rid of autoblock.

  9. Get rid of the side correction on specials.

I dunno, is Lariat really more retarded than SPD? I think the SPD’s properties ruin the game, as it forces every character to play the turtling game. With Lariat it’s just annoying, you can at least punish it.

Lariat is worse. More specifically, late crouching lariat is worse.

I don’t really have a problem with SPD. That’s just Zangeif to me. But that lariat being so good and hitting low for so long and having a different hit box on start up is really crazy.

I think Zangief needs an air grab.

Give Gouken normal backthrow frames and a buff-as-hell j.strong? HELL NO.

I pretty much agree about everything else other than nerfing dic’s st.roundhouse. It’s good, but it’s not comboable or anything. If you haven’t noticed, he’s not even in the top 50 in jp anymore as is.

My additions:

-Lower priority on Sagat’s j.strong

-Lower hitstun slightly on ex Messiah (so it doesn’t keep comboing when half of it doesn’t connect)

-Make it harder to break fireballs with galactic tornado.

-Give guile more damage everywhere

-Remove Chun’s df+short

-Make chun’s air throw possible as soon as airborne like guile’s

-Either remove armor break properties on Sagat’s non-ex knee OR lower priority. TK should not beat/trade for win with shoryus.

-Remove Sagat double Forward roundhouse

-Raise Dhalsim’s ultra damage

-Add more startup frames to Gief’s st.strong/nerf hitbox

-Make ex scissor kicks safe on block at mid-max range

-Raise blockstun in general just a tad. The whole “half of hitstun” rule of thumb makes some characters ass while leaving some characters (ryu, sagat, Akuma, etc) way too safe in comparison to other characters, who get beat up even if they time their links perfectly on block.

Sagat’s character design is great. Just make him do less damage per hit. Theres nothing wrong with having a good character, its just that lots of other characters are gimp compared to him.

I actually like balrog, I know many people don’t and he is quite a gross character, but I like playing him…I just find his moveset fun. With that said I believe he sucks in SFIV. Most of his specials are unsafe, and when you look at his normals in a footsies game…well, its not lookin good. Jab is his best way to start a combo, and the range on it is pretty bad. I don’t think he needs to be buffed or nerfed, I just think people need to understand how to fight him better.

I wish chun would have just a LITTLE more to her, but she is a great character overall. If I could have either one of these:

-Less floaty jump
-Standard health

I think Gouken needs to not have terrible normals.

It would be tight to not have Dan in the game, I pretty much thought comic relief was covered with rufus AND fuerte in there. But oh well.

Rose could be better. Haven’t played her enough to know what with though.

Fei-long is mediocre at best, maybe people are sleepin on him but I have not been impressed with what I have seen. Best ultra juggle you can get is 3 hits with no animation = COOL.

I think Sakura is pretty good, her ultra damage could be a tad bit higher.

Guile should have a decent combo juggle into ultra. And get rid of the rediculous motion for the ultra, that shit is uncalled for.

I think Dhalsim, Bison, Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Viper and Abel are fine.

I dont believe I’m in much of a spot to comment on the other characters though.

Rose just needs more stuff in general. Feels unfinished to me.

cr.mp amazingly good low, doesn’t combo into much but still really good and bufferable to fireball
cr.fp - great anti-air great combo starter, pretty damn quick
cls.fp - good combo starter positive frames on hit pretty good on block too.
cr.mk - great anti-air
cr.lp - good poke string starter
st.lk - nice little poke
st.rh - decent poke good damage
st.fp - same

He has probably one of the best fireballs in the game… all in all he is def a good character at least mid tier. Only real problem is no really good reversal but you can just demon flip your ass away from stuff if your really worried or man up and learn to block, haha, j/k. With how redic his damage output is people would complain if you gave him a really good verifiable low combo for sure. like if you could do cr.lk, cr.lp, hurricane or some such I bet people would be talking about how broke he is before too long.

When you need to play a solid footsies his normals feel like there is something to be desired. I suppose you could demon out or block well and I agree he has some good shit going for him. I don’t play him anymore so I’m no expert. I guess I just want him to be more than pokes for space, insert fireball/demonflip. Fierce is his best single cancel but it sucks to have to just hope it hits. So then you gotta come from the air and use demon mixup…and I feel thats pretty much all he has going for him right now. If he could do c.short-c.jab-s.fierce he would be buff as hell.
