We Need More SFIV Players in Seattle

For real? You think?

Tight. :bgrin: I can do shit, I just need more practice against not-xbox-live people. Thanks man. Your jab short ex punch loops are cheep nerf plz

Ugh yea, that was irritating the hell outta me last night when Kyle was trying to play Balrog.

I swear I am going to learn this, and start demoralizing people.

That ain’t no combo, it would only combo on an opponent who is just standing there not blocking. It does look cool tho.

Just tried Tournament mode for the first time last night. Further proof that I suck. I’m wondering if I should even stick with Rufus online. Lag just doesn’t help me at all.

It’s pretty fun going into the leaderboards and getting to watch all your friends saved replays. Too bad they just made it so the final round ones can be recorded. Fucking ridiculous.

Mine right now is of Frank getting hit by bullshit fullscreen ultra FTW

Shawn will attest to the amazingness of this replay.

WCG videos for all the kiddies. Features the grand finals video which is Wong (Abel) vs Sabin (Seth). Worth checking out.

Anyone wanna give a overview? I can’t bring myself to watch Seth being played, ugh:wasted:

wong countering seth j.hp spam with c.hp early, roll, wait, falling sky. it’s dope.

So im messing around with viper now too…she is just nasty. Some dope points: Feints are hilarious and mess with peoples heads.

She is an execution DEMON…which is frustrating but awesome for me since I need that consistency.

She is hella fun.

Playing her so far I feel like there aren’t any uneven matchups. Though I guess some people were saying Honda? Haven’t had to play that matchup yet. Maybe I just love taking out sagat.

championship mode is nice, but seattle needs a scene and more tournaments.

sorry for the random post. Im just sick of playing people online. I just want to play some people in person who aren’t trash.

does anyone know of any upcoming tournys? I couldnt make last weeks gameworks one.

this fucking guy. :rofl::rofl:

Seriously tho you should come out to one or all of these tournaments/sessions, we are always welcoming to new faces in the Seattle SF scene.

Wow. Just wow.

Come to my place, and we can talk about how much woodinville blows!

I like this post because I say this in person but with a Boston accent. I’m now gonna stop posting for the next 3 months.

Where’s Woodinville located? Too lazy to Google.

it’s a little north of redmond, you can take the back road (red-wood road) to get there.

but yeah man, little do you know that there is a scene here (and it’s been here for at least 9 years, back in the silvercoin days over at SouthCenter). Actually our scene has lived through 4 arcades (Silver Coin, Game Town, Quarters, and Lanwerx)

We’ve been holding tournaments for SFIV since Oct. of 2008 (Monday Night Fights/Saturday Night Brawls down @ Narrows Bowling Alley in Tacoma)

As Riki mentioned we’ve got Preppy’s poker/gaming night’s (Which has been going strong for at least 4 years now?), along with Cole’s Afrodojo, and Pablo’s and HeavyD’s marvel sessions.

You’re more than welcome to come out. Glad that you found out about the site, but rest assured that Team Seattle is in full effect.

I just played a great Vega player who wooped me, and sent me a message saying that my early videos of playing Vega really helped him out. He was doing way tighter stuff than I ever did, but that feels pretty awesome. Don’t think I am going to top that tonight, so I’m out.

I’ve also been playing Vega all night, and really enjoying myself. Damn, I think I am going to have to pick him up again.

Here are some videos for your viewing pleasure, courtesy of Nohoho.

Check these out.
