We Need More SFIV Players in Seattle

Yeah but who wakes up with tiger knee? Even a regular tiger uppercut on reversal beats it.

The EX kara-cancel thing can be used against more obvious things like fireballs. Abel and Fuerte can do it too.

Shows off the armor cancel with Balrog you’re talking about.

I guess I don’t see this because this is SF4 not Alpha 3 so Bison doesn’t have fireballs lol

This is mighty nifty.

Yeah and here’s the one showing the EX ultra cancels. Fuck a bailrag.

I still don’t get the one I posted? Did he wake up focus, and then cancel the focus attack with an EX Dashing Straight? Can you do that?

Another One-

Haha. Off a final TAP-

Yes he did focus into EX dash punch I believe. Maybe like

b, f - MP+MK~whatever punches

holy shit @ final TAP. I might have to start playing punch-only-balrog-for-the-first-half-of-the-round.

So have you guys seen the p-linking topic yet? I don’t even want to share it with you guys because I want to better than you guys for like a day. I don’t want no easy mode sagat links, but whatever hahahah it’s public information.

Long story short:

Say you’re linking c.lp to c.mk and it’s a one frame link.

You do c.lp, c.lp, c.mk~c.lk. You piano the input sort of kara style (but slower than a 3s kara speed or the light attack will come out) and you double your chance of the move coming out. How this works is the input comes out as c.mk on it’s own, and then c.mk+c.lk. The priority in this game is given to the heavier normal, when two or more are pressed. So that translates as two c.mk inputs.

No, it’s not like double-tapping, it’s like the same concept but actually perfect. It’s nasty how easy links get when you figure this shit out.

So whatever normal you’re linking into gets pressed first in the piano method, with the lower equivalent pressed right after. HP~MP, MP~LP, etc.

There’s an exception with the lp and lk buttons if A) your lp/lk are chainable, and B) you’re standing and it’ll do a karathrow. But like for characters where they link into each other and you can do either one (i.e. c.lk c.lk c.lk/c.lp tiger uppercut for sagat), it’s okay.

It’s so gamebreaking I might have to switch from Fuerte because I can now do ANY links like butter. I was busting out c.lk c.lk c.mp(~c.lp) EX tiger shot into verified ultra with sagat the other day testing it out on live. Not that that’s a big deal, but like I can do so many links I couldn’t really do consistently before. All Fuerte gets from it is short short super. I probably shouldn’t/won’t because Fuerte is more fun, but damnit…

The example 1-frame link to practice is c.lp c.lp c.mk(~c.lk) EX hadou with akuma. If the c.lk comes out you’re doing it too fast. It’s not actually fast enough to be like a kara (and it’s also not a kara cancel).

I’m gonna practice it with Guile and show Axel so he’ll play this game. He knows how to do that shit for jab jab flash kick

Yeah I have been meaning to practice that plinking shit, the less effort I put into SFIV the better.

lol sweet I can just pretend I’m doing ST combos now

what link would this benefit guile the most with? cr.jab cr.jab cr.strong?

I should learn this so I can always do cr. short x2> cr. mk…

It’s really easy, learn it. So useful for bison I bet. You could also just use it for c.lk x3 into scissors.

Yes. Crossup lk c.lp c.lp c.mp flash kick, if you’ve hit confirmed, or sonic boom if you want to be safer. You can also just do c.lp three times into flash kick, but the third c.lp has to be a link… which isn’t too hard, it reminds me of doing it in ST.

I’ve spent so much time practicing cr. lkx3 into scissors using the button release method and I still don’t have it down perfectly. The plinking method is useful but I don’t see how I could do it on a pad

If you play in “claw method” you could. (Not sure how people play pad without claw method >_>)

Wake up, gods telling you something. :]

Yeah I play with claw method unless I’m playing Tekken. I guess I just need to try plinking more and it will start becoming natural.

You should really just play stick man. >_>

“Riki… use EX Slide my son…”

I can just do links and stuff normally, so I don’t see why I need “PLINKING” at all.

Get some Japanese genes in your DNAS suckas. Everything becomes easier.

More like “Riki…use a stick…my stick” Wait, that’s the priest.
