The lack of blind select in ranked at LEAST is seriously disappointing. So is the fucking godawful theme song. Otherwise this is the best online fighting game ever. Ever. Hit me up for some games please homies.
Did you get an Xbox GT Trace or are you playing on PS3? I agree about the lack of blind select in Ranked, shit is whack.
So i use Gief & want to play good Sagats, El Fuerte, Balrog, & Blanka…I need to prepare myself incase i run into any of these in the tournament…So hopefully we can get some games in before Saturday…Even if you dont use these characters, i just want to play good players that know what they are doing…I want to get better fast!

Sounds like someone is jealous because he didn’t get to work on this game. Seriously though, while I agree with some points in the article, most of them are extremely nitpicky. To say that he doesnt understand why so many people love the game or why reviewers gave it a perfect score without backing it up with some significant flaw in the game is pretty pompous. Making certain things such as kara throws and some links difficult to do is part of what makes SF games interesting and keeps people practicing (read: replayability). And why would he be mashing QCF so he can get an ultra in on time? You dont have to be a beast to ultra off a launch or a block. I really only see that happening if youre expecting to use it as a counter to something, but even then you have plenty of time to input the ultra (i.e. as an AA or to go through a fireball). That and QCFx2+PPP has been around forever and in several games and its not hard to do, I really wouldnt call it out as a blocker for “casual friendly”. Oh and he bitches about FADCs, you have sooo much time to follow up after one in MOST cases. If not then its not something a few minutes in the training room wont solve. I have to say I was extremely surprised and disappointed after I read that, especially from someone who wrote that you shouldn’t complain about “cheapness”.
So I finally figured out how to store charge during a FADC, LOL@ FADC> St. Fierce>Scissor Kick XX> Super. 499 damage, goodbye half your life. 
I thought his complaints about 2 button throwing were odd. I can understand the want of a simpler control scheme, but having throw as one button (or multiple single buttons) doesn’t make it much simpler.
Two button throws are sick because you can actually punish people just for attempting a throw when it’s not the proper range, it makes tick throwing take a commitment, and it makes throw teching take a commitment as well, I think it is all around WAY better of a system than one where chun does a sick ass poke into a sickass poke into a throw and she is not 100% sure all the time even when SHE is attempting the throw or the tick.
Fuck that, I want to mash throws. Hella hard.
OMFG, with Gen messing around in training mode I just found the following combo:
Kick stance, launch with cr. lk, change to PPP stance, do super, then the dragon punch+kick move. OMFG that is just…too ill beyond words, I LOVED May Lee in KOF 2k2 just because stance changes mid-combo are PRO LEVEL beyond fucking words, I think I am gonna make Gen my secondary character…
Also, now that I can do legit saving attack combos like SA>FP>Scissor Kick>Super and SA> cr. lp > cr. lp> st. lk > cr. mk> scissors (optional super cancel)…OMFG this game is like crack to me, it’s fun as hell…

I’ve only fought 1 or 2 Sagats, 3 people total that don’t play Ken. Akuma, Sakura, Dan are alts of the Kens.
Sakura is raw, I just can’t use her tho’…
you gotta get on that BP…If you set the option to same skill/more skill, by the time you hitmid 2k’s you should find a better quality of player
