For sure! I live one exit from Zerostar (I live in Marysville off Exit 199) so I’m gonna try to get some offline games with him since offline is better than online :). Just hard haha. First time I’ve tried to be good at a “game” like this, so its like im learning the overall of everything too. Hopefully I got this though
Oh shit.
So I read that first sentence and parsed ‘zerostar’ as a town in the NW.
I was like… that is the coolest fucking name for a town, you guys!? Maybe I should move to ZEROSTAR!
are you truly outrageous?
If anybody wants to play some MvC3 at my place tomorrow (Burien) or arcade Super Turbo, hit me up. 253-886-0487.
My SE is still shrink-wrapped. Am I missing out?
You should just play Dance Central instead.
Shirt on, or off?
I think it’s a lot of fun, and I feel like I can be creative and make my own setups and techniques. I have a lot of little things I made with She Hulk and Taskmaster.

Going to recase, but got my buttons + Cthulu, didn’t have access to real tools, and couldn’t wait to play on a controller with real buttons. Actually works quite well, despite the directions being a bit farther apart than they should be. The clicky Happ buttons for directions + sanwa for attacks works great. Comboing is great, but I still have to get used to the movement (Jumping is fairly natural, but flying throws me off a lot)
MVC3 is a fun game. Call it a spiritual sequel to MVC2. While there are definitely some gripes I have about it, I still have a lot of fun whenever I play it.
Been thinking about Mortal Kombat 9. I don’t have plans to play it, but if I do, I decided to not even bother with the stupid ass X style button layout with.
:lp: :lk:
:snkb:
:hp: :hk:
If there is a quick map functions that make the game work with a traditional 6 buttons, I will just use that.
It was weird how much better my MvC3 Tron was a week later even though I hadn’t played any Tron in the interim. I think just watching helped a lot. Also realizing that everything connects to everything these days. =\
Officially done trying to play this online. The netcode is complete garbage (for me). And no, I’m not gonna practice with the latency settings. Anyone else having bad online lag with this game?
On another note: still can’t figure out a solid team I wanna play.
eh I only have bad lag online when I set my region’s filter setting to ANY other wise I’ve been fine.
GGs Frank. Runaway has been answered with grimier runaway.
I have terrible online lag, no matter what settings I use, and no matter how many ‘bars’ a connection is listed as. Completely unplayable.
This is so weird to me, because usually I am a much bigger lag complainer than everyone (I find GGPO completely unplayable), but I consider MvC3 better than SSFIV netcode, and yeah I have lost cus of stupid lag or missed inputs in mvc3, it’s definitely playable imo.
But yeah, online sucks ALWAYS, so is anyone interested in MvC3 and Super Turbo at my house next week to practice for Mike’s tournament on the 12th?
I wanna play. Just add my PSN.
but you are in michigan…
thats pretty far
Oh wait, This is the Northwe-- Shit, I’m Northeast. My mistake.
I’m sure that MvC3 online is worse for me than for most people, because if it were THIS BAD for everybody, I’d have heard about it. But I don’t really know what I’m supposed to do about it. I’ve got ports forwarded for my router, I just don’t know. It sucks.
I find I have less lag playing randoms in ranked matches than I do when I play with friends who live less than 2 miles away. SSF4 is damn near lag free between the 2 of us. Hell, when I play SSF4 with a friend from Cali, it’s almost perfect. Marvel just seems to be laggy no matter what.
