I’m going to pick something that appeals to me, which will invariably be shitty, because every character I like in games is always shitty.
Then I’ll bitch about the fact that they’re shitty all the time, and if anyone is more successful than me, I’ll scapegoat my character.

You know, this was my first thought too. I’m all about the tight low-tier shit characters, but all the classes in this are viable. It’s all just like different styles. Certain subclasses/etc. are better at PvP than PvE but honestly everything seems pretty damn balanced. Mage is probably the most gimp in the beginning (that’s how it goes) but I have a feeling I’m about to get pretty tight.

You’re gonna feel not so tight in the beginning. Basically all you need for attacks is magic missile 
nah Pluto is hella good, get that because it goes through objects. Florae Circle is good against those fucking cats and other dudes that are all hella in your face. Plus they are cute wiggly eels that do more damage fully charged than your other spells will.
don’t bother with like frosty’s head/lantern bomb.
Get the summon panzer guy, and if you want put one point in lasher so you can whip him into shape. :tup: Use him as a tank and spam shit. In fact, I miss having him around as a tank so much I want to learn the skill again. Just gotta learn to use magic doll shururu better.
for support skills, get ancient library cause mana is important, magic doll shururu (holds aggro and weakens their magic defense significantly!), and IMO phase shift is worth a point. Kage bunshin no Jutsu! Get out of the fray for free.

I’m having hella lag issues. Every party I join I just end up ditching the dungeon because I’m lagging so bad. Or rather, they are? They have the little lag icon, but if it’s everybody but me…
Make sure you’re playing on West side servers and not East side ones…that should help with the lag issues a bit. I have experienced some lag though myself to be honest.
That’s a good point, I may have played on an east one earlier. Where you at dawg, you tryin to do some lower sky tower? 
EDIT: I just found out enhanced magic missile is a DIFFERENT spell. Fuck. I thought it would… y’know, enhance the regular magic missile spell I’ve pumped up to level 10. Sheeit.
EDIT AGAIN LOL: Oh but it’s got a six second cooldown and is kinda a different use.
Rolled a gunner alt this afternoon and holy shit, low level mages work five times as hard as anybody else in this game. Not really a surprise, but there you go - I verified it.
Maybe I will stick with gunner I dunno?

I rolled a Priest today, HeavierD! Its kinda fun, but they’re big and slow as fuck.

It is if you’re a melee class from what I understand. Good way to dodge super armor attacks.

I installed the game, Im debating between summoner and mechanic. I tend to gravitate towards things like the necromancer in diablo 2.
Nothing has really come close to the sheer awesomeness of having a golem, 10 skeleton mages, 10 skeletons,a hireling, and a bunch of other shit fighting for you at once. Most other summoning classes in games limit you to one pet =(.
How long does it take to level up in this? I’ll play this as long as it doesn’t take like, fully blown MMO status to level up.
