In regards to what Tort was saying a page over, about Skrull, Spencer and Strange? How so? I have Besides Strange and Shuma, Skrull is my favorite character in the game, but I always found it hard to kill with him and I never thought grapple assist would really help him besides combo extension.

I have been playing team mystic arts as of late and just play Dorm/Shuma/Strange. I used to play it before, but sucked with it. Now there is a lot of tech for this team so I just stopped caring if it wasn’t top tier or anything.

So I know there’s a few Zero/Strange players in here, and I wanted to get some feedback on what Zero assist to use. I bring in Strange kinda frequently for matchup/fun purposes so Zero’s assist is actually a big factor.

Do I go with Ryuenjin or Hadangeki? I feel like the defensive applications of the uppercut assist (especially as a crossover counter) cover Strange’s defense really well, but the zoning and mixup that comes with the fireball are great too. Which do you think is more important for the doc to have?

Hadangeki. It’s too important. Save the defensive assist for the other slot. Strange with double hadangeki is the truth.

I guess I would feel that way if I had an actual defensive assist in the last slot, like Jam, but I’m rocking Cold Star instead. I don’t plan on changing, but… I’ll keep using Hadangeki unless I find myself just getting bodied defensively, haha.

Does anybody run Vergil with Strange and if so, what are some trixies you could share?

I play Vergil and Strange, but never together, so I can’t help too much.

I am here asking if anyone knows how to start flameloops off Chris/Strange without using Spencer restand assist. Jam Session, probly, looking for a third who can help with flameloops, if there’s other good options I’m open to that too.

Can’t you raw tag strange in the corner do team super and rockets keeps hitting them so you can get fof loops? I am not sure but I could see it working in theory.

If you manage to get a hit with Stinger -> Spiral Swords on a standing opponent, you can do something like:
(hold L) Stinger xx teleport (so that Vergil’s out of the corner), Stinger xx Round Trip tag to Strange, Impact Palm, etc.
There’s also a pickup off of Helm Breaker using Bolts that Tenboss does a lot, I don’t remember it precisely so just look up vids of his X-23/Vergil/Strange team.

As for neutral, Bolts are okay for Vergil in terms of setting up mixups, better for full-screen lockdown. Rapid Slash offers good pushback for Strange and gives him good full-screen blockstrings (VSaga swears by this assist). Vergil can also curb Strange’s unsafe DHC’s by just throwing Round Trip and hard tagging.

I messed with Nova/Vergil/Strange for a while. What other character are you using?

mmm, Strange/Strider (as in Wesker/Strange/Strider)
I think that if strider on point you can do the same shenanigans of THC xf vajra -> combo.
Strider can maybe finish combo with animals, XF hardtag, teleport Strange combo (maybe? or with 2nd bar dhc and then XF teleport combo).
Tagging Strider in after Strange is also quite safe dhc. But aside from that, anymore input?
I also consider Wesker/Nova/Strange, I feel like I’m not consistent enough now days with Dante to run him effectively =\ (even when doing the easier stuff)

Other than the Raggador from Legion DHC not much else. That often times leads to fof but it depends on legion. I can get it about 7out of 10 times.

Outside of that the DHC between the too is lackluster the only thing I can say is just do Vishant strider hits Vishant but its not worth the meter unless you just in a give no Fucks mood.

If you have a yellow grace out, you can SoV+Vajra, throw a flame, H teleport and combo, as long as you’re close enough to the yellow grace. It’s easy and it makes the duo really scary if you can always convert into a FoF loop.

Does that work mid-screen? I have never tried or thought of that. Is it just the explosion or is it the yellow flame that allows for the conversion?

Yellow graces do not produce explosions. It powers up the flame which is the thing that OTG’s for the conversion.

It works anywhere yeah, as long as you have a yellow grace (or two) close enough.

Can you guys help me? I’m having trouble connecting the impact palm after a rapid slash assist at the end of a long combo.

Anyone heard anything about getting FoF off throw using jam session assist and SoV?

I haven’t been able to do anything. Jam doesn’t hit long enough to allow anything unless you x factor

Me neither, probably myth or really really tight timing

You can superjump and j.MfH, but I didn’t test to get enough off it, I don’t think the spacing is often right for loops, and the timing for the whole thing is very very tight.
