What makes the tag work is Magneto’s positioning, and not the missiles… thing is, you can always do it if Magneto is at the far end of the screen that is being shown. He gets in that position after any of his grabs, which means that almost any grab can lead into that, because if you throw your enemy in the corner you won’t be always in the far end of the screen. It’s basically a vertical grav-loop into tag, but it is so freaking BEAUTIFUL.

Yea but missiles gives you access to hard tag off any bnb! The shorter the combo, the less likely they will drop out of the ADD H which is the most important part. You can also skip the Cr.l and go right for impact palm which means it won’t drop the combo!

IMO with Doom/Vergils running rampant (especially paired with Morrigan) it seems extremely viable. You’re screwed vs. Wolverine and Zero though. You’d have to switch Strange out for Doom in those matches.

Hey guys, thinking of running my old Nemesis/Bolts pair, but I actually want to make a team around consistent flameloops, so I’m gonna try putting strange off anchor and use Nem/Strange/???

So, my criteria for the last person is:

  1. Can extend Strange’s flameloops somewhat with the assist (not required, I think rocket and launcher slam can both extend)
  2. Good shell with Strange (assist/THC synergy/whatevah)
  3. Halfway decent assist for Nemesis.
  4. Good anchor.

Got any suggestions? If I find nothing exceedingly broken, probly going to go back and start running Nemesis/Dorm/Strange as an alternate team. Current thoughts are Ammy, Hawkeye, Vergil, but would like some other thoughts too.

I posted in the jill forums, but I figure I should post here as well. I recently switched to Jill (Wallbounce kick) / strange (bolts) / Dante (Jam session). I wanted to know if anyone else has tried this team, and could give some advice on the dhc glitch from jill to strange. Are there optimal ways to corner carry with jill, while still building a meter, and leaving hitstun for fof loops? Sorry if my question is to specific.

Can you state what is Nemeses looking for in assist?

Hi guys. What do you think about Strange/Vergil as a 2nd/3rd shell? Could it conceivably out perform or at least equal Doom/Vergil?

I’m not looking for too much, bolts covers a lot, he normally needs a good horizontal projectile, but he also likes stuff like lariat, log and vajra. Or drones/missiles/spitfire. Anything that makes his strings safer and keeps them off my face, gaps in the middle of assists to try and command throw are an added bonus.

Honorable mention to Doom for tagging in after Nemesis command throws and getting good damage. A few are good at that.

Bolts also allows Nemmy to use his punches super after a long combo, which can DHC into rings. So I could use a second assist to confirm off of tentacles.

Tried labbing a few people on that spot yesterday. I probably don’t want to use the DMC brothers, for the record.

Opinions on best Strange/Ammy teams? I’m thinking Viper & Thor?

I think that strange quite love haggar.
Doom is quite feasible option too (as always)
people always route for Strange/Dorm so it’s too an option.
Strange/Dante is quite OD, teleport mixups, converts of random SoV, setup for EoA. Consider it :slight_smile:

I actually may go Dante on second thought. I’ve played the pair before (with Task in front, great team, but never gets loops outside of corner TAC), so it’s not like I’ll suck completely right off the bat. Dante doesn’t do much more damage than Nemesis tagging in off his command throw, but he does get a ton of meter.

I HATE playing Doom, and though I admit he works really well there with missiles, I’d rather learn nearly anyone else. If I’m playing Dorm and Strange, it’s gonna be in the order Nem/Dorm/Strange (an order I have previously mained for a long time and it works, just very few flameloops).

Also Nemesis throws into super and DHC’ed to Rings gets me 1.09 mill :3 with Jam flameloops extension :3.

Anchor Haggar? Hm…and Nemesis likes the assist too. Is there a good flameloop extension for Strange/Lariat?

I hate timing for the JS extension. I actually should take a look at weasel extension if i ever get back to play it seriously.

strange haggar extension is , land after air IP, IP+haggar, fof, jump up wait for 3rd hit of lariat, then do 3 more faltines.

Wow. Way simpler/more damaging than I would’ve thought. If Haggar can get good damage tagging in off Nemmy’s command throws, then he sounds like a really cool pick for last. Strange/Rocket can still zone pretty well, sounds like a fun gimmick anchor-Haggar team. Him or Dante. Gonna lab the options a bit tonight.

Labbing with Nemesis/Strange is pretty awesome. Throws into flameloops, and using bolts to set up BHR after a longer combo, and DHCing from there into flameloops is pretty nice. Also, if you haven’t used the wallbounce, Nemesis’s clothesline rocket assist is very, very easy to extend flameloops with. Without wallbounce you can still hit with both assist hits and get a few more impact palms and flames off of it.

Seems good with Dante, Haggar, and Doom Missiles in back, Missiles seem best because rawtags off of command throw, and getting flameloops with a point strange combo and missiles is so easy, but I’m thinking Shuma might be really fun (my hatred of Doom is making me desperate). Once I get the Shuma bnbs down (easier said than done, lol) I know he can tag off Nemesis’s command throw and possibly DHC into flameloops afterward and then extend with Clocket assist, which sounds like the coolest thing in existence.

I bet the zoning with Strange/Mystic Ray is excellent too, that shouldn’t be hard to make broken sequences for. But, has anyone found any other secret awesome tech with these two? Some mixups, or maybe Mystic Balls into Strange’s rings super gives him time to do teleport mixups? I’ve always wanted to learn Shuma, but since he’s basically just for Strange’s sake right now, I kinda need some direction.

Also, when I’m done experimenting with this shell I WILL have a video/s, and they will be cool.

I hate using shuma as you can still find yourself in setup where he is just unavailable…

Are there any notable Jam Session - Strange players one could find footage of? I got super pumped when I realized I chould replace Vergil w/ Strange behind Morri Doom Vergil(/Strange). But then I was watching Mini Boss/Toaster’s excellent tutorial where they talk about Jammy Jam being Strange’s potentially best neutral assist.

I used to do Doom-a Strange Dante a few months ago as a Strange team, but after running Missiles Strange w/ great success more recently, AND watching Mini Boss successfully run Strange first, I semi-revisited that idea w/ Strange Doom-b Dante. One great thing out of the gate is that while Strange isn’t normally so great in the 1 spot (despite Mini Boss making it seem to the contrary), opening with IP+Jam is a pretty safe OS as long as you pepper it w/ some other stuff.

So the 2 main things I’m wondering/looking for: 1. Good Jam-Strange to watch 2. Any good Jam-Strange tactics one should be aware of. Definitely not “day 1” w/ the duo, but before I used Jam as a primarily defensive tool, I’m realizing just IP+Jam in general is likely worth the price of admission.
