idk. sako doesn’t play sfiv as much as others. if he played sfiv like he used to play vampire savior he would be pooping on anyone. afaik sako is the most respected fighting gamer in japan, that is impressive. i mean seriously…could you imagine what it would be like to be the only person on earth able to do a certain combo?
Yeah, I know, most of high-level japanese Akumas have no problems with the loop. Its just that Tokido did it so many times with so much precision within 2 or 3 rounds that I couldnt believe it.

Looks like you’re doing better against JR there, love that super finish brao. BASEMENT DEMON!!111
now thats better
Mmm, how come JR refreshes his videos by uploading them again?
Looks at least as good to me if not better.
That’s not really here nor there is it?
I’m sure if Sako invested the time he may be the best executionwise in SF4, but as it stands from what I saw i would say Tokido is at least as good, if not better.
sorry, but this bothered me.
Yes we saw that he missed a link. Yes we all know that akuma also has one frame links. However, Akuma’s damage output is generally much higher for execution demands that are much lower. So yes, when he said: “you try playing as gen.” I would say: “No thanks, I don’t feel like dedicating dozens of hours of time to master his more damaging BnB combos which require plenty of 1 frame links.”
so… Kudos to the guy who played the gen for getting his execution down to almost 90%
What really bothers me is that somehow you read my reply and completely missed the point.
This is getting really meta.
I’m bothered by the fact that you’re bothered that hes bothered.
Bothersome.
"What really bothers me is that somehow you read my reply and completely missed the point. "
…
“I don’t see how telling somebody to play Gen to see how much of a challenge it poses has anything to do with being punished for missing a link.”
I’m gonna break it down for you sunshine,
Punished for missing a link >>> Hard links are easy to miss >>> Gen relies on hard links >>> gen is challenging to play.
Whoa. I don’t think I’m too far off am I?
Shin it’s just that sako has some of the most precise execution in every 2d fighter he plays. He was doing combos into the loop way earlier than the likes of the grandmaster akumas and continues to do so. You don’t see him very often because he is a console player but is execution is straight gdlk in any game he plays. 1 frame links are nothing to him. There is a reason in Japan he is considered quite possibly the best 2d fighting gamer in japan as west mentioned above.
No, let me break it down for you - everybody has hard links they rely on. It’s the reason why DP spam is so good in this game. Missing and or using your hard link is not a Gen specific trait.
Idiot.
I know that, I’m just saying Tokido looks at least as good right now. Maybe Sako is better, but I haven’t seen it.
^tokido is definitly the better SF4 player through mind games and experience its just that sako’s execution is straight gdlk…but perfect combo execution only gets you so far in this game. Mind games all day!
It’s too bad Sako doesn’t play more. I would really like to see more vids of his Akuma.
Hey, Shin, is your friend list already full? Id like to play against you sometime. How does your netcode work against foreigners? Im from Brazil, so Im afraid lag might be a problem. Anyway, itd be cool if we could have a few matches one of these days.
