We already defeated Sheng-long! The Akuma Video Thread

Very nice matches mate!! I really liked the use of air lp/ex hado, just what i meant in my posts a few days ago.
You trust c.mk to ex hado alot i see, too bad you are not Ryu lol.

@Intothesky, yeah most of the dive kicks he did were safe and most of them were a max range sweep follow up.

Most of the times, it will hit him out of his srk’s and he will get reset. Sometimes, it’ll trade, but you should not get beat completely.

Just do the dive kick right above the head of the opponent. If you are getting beat, try delaying the initial demon flip (not the dive kick) a little bit more.

Yeah in retrospect, I should’ve because I usually do go for that. A win’s a win; fuck meter. :stuck_out_tongue: I guess, I was a bit nervous and forgot to look at my meter and his health.

Thanks. Yeah, I was using the EX hadouken a lot because I’m always scared of people FADC’ing and punishing me. So if they do try to FADC, the EX will knock them out and I getta rape them instead.

So the range or where you do it from doesn’t really matter, but it’s the timing and location of where the kick happens yeah?

I kept screaming “He isn’t using the flip palm! Use your EX Rush upper to wake up!” instead he did a bunch of headbutts.

Hey, I warned ya. >_>

Richard:
When you connected hp.srk, u follow up with a peak lp.air fireball. Isn’t that unsafe? I feel someone can trade sweep you or just walk under the fireball and attack you from the other side. or ex-dp. It just gives me negative vibes…

It baits and beats normal srk. You cant actually walk under the fireball and it is very difficult to sweep or even air to air him. ex srk beats it but the damage isnt alot. In that particular case the opponent can take a step back and punish afterwards.

Hey Rich, since you were doing shoryu, air fb, what do you think of a forward throw 2x dash tkfb?

You just wasted your greatest way for vortex :stuck_out_tongue:

Not neccesarily. I’ve tried this on ryu, akuma and rog. Using the exploding palm with a meaty mp fireball stuffs all non-ex srks and makes rogs headbutts (except for the lp version) and all dash punches whiff EVEN ex. Meaty airfb also catches TAPs. It also caught both ryus and akumas backdashes. Furthermore meaty airfb can be combo’d off into bnb. Which depending on the character, can be finished with a sweep. So you really are not losing your vortex.
I’ve also tinkered with the ex tkfb.
It makes Roses u2 easier to deal with because it actually takes out one of the orbs allowing akuma to land. And for those wondering how to deal with adon… ex tkfb stuffs all rising jaguars, jaguar tooths, jaguar kicks, ultra2 and causes ex jaguar kick to whiff along with ultra 1. The only trade off is he can still dash under your airfb.

The thing is, wont air mp hado come out fast enough for them to see it and not do anything? If not then you might have a point

Well my idea turned out to be mostly useless lmao.

@3:15 mark, Richard U2’s JR’s super. How’s that possible?

i think he was just out of range, he walked backwards for a second then did ultra.

Ffffuuu, I was playing so bad that night. >.< I hadn’t been playing much because I had been playing bbcs mainly that week. :razzy: But it’s sorta my fault for getting rusty so easily. Hhaha.

But I was in range of that Super. I am just too awesome.

He definitely was in range, and its a 0 frame super and no mashing of any kind will get him out unless it was preemptive.

Anyway, do you know why JR seems to be able to read akuma player’s minds? He wins the mirror a helluva lot.

Taken from a Makoto Thread:

Pre-jump Frame cancels (PJFC)
When you jump, before leaving the ground, you have 4 frame considered “in the air” (you can be hit, but not be thrown). EX oroshi and EX karakusa have invincibility (or armor) BUT can be thrown. Using PFJC for those moves if useful to avoid throw.

*PJFC EX oroshi: QCB U/B+PP
*PJFC EX karakusa: HCB U/B+KK

So basically he did jump before the super and then canceled the first jump frames to an U2. Did u do that on purpose Richard? ;)

Eh, well it seems to me as I lost like four rounds I shoulda won. There were two rounds where I was waiting for his EX demon flip palm so I could jump fierce it. Like I was seriously waiting for it, but when I came out I just went herp derp and jumped late. I also shoulda neutral jump fierce instead.

Then, there were two rounds I lost to his Ultra where I could’ve prevented both of them. The first one was where he did an anti-air one and I thought about doing a command dive kick. But then I hesitated thinking that I was already too low (which I think I was) so then I pressed absolutely nothing. Lol, total brain fart. Pretty sure any jumping normal would’ve won. The other one I did a teleport and he so happened to do a Ultra and then I tried U2’ing. But the teleport was facing the opposite direction, and if I had just waited a bit later, he would’ve turned around and my U2 would’ve hit.

Plus, I was rusty missing all my tatsu to sweep combo’s. And messing up my option select twice out of three on his wake up. And the one that worked failed since he teleported the other way. :stuck_out_tongue: But the other two would’ve have been good. One was an option select teleport xx U2 also. It would’ve looked so sickkkkk but I messed it up!! :[[[[

And I was punishing his far st. hk’s weirdly. I was doing like cr. mk xx Ex hadouken. Wtf, I should just tatsu to sweep. Brain fart.

Hahha yes! I saw he had super and then he did his jumping jab and I anti-aired it with cr. hp. Then, he did it again and I was like hmmmmmmm, time to pull something fancy.

Wow, prejump frame cancels wth? That’s definitely the first time I ever heard of that. I mean, if someone were to empty jump super ME, I’d be holding up back and desperately hoping I held up back before that super came out rather than knowing I did or not and U2.

Anyway good stuff, you cr.hp a lot of his normal xx dflip throw attempts. I try to be vigilant about tactics like that but having most competition being online, and never needing to be THAT COMPETENT for your opponents catches me off guard.
