Waterloo's Evo Jam Fundraiser (July 29)

Hmmm…seems like SRL has already done what I talked to Pat, Ian, and Scott about with respect to running a pool for winners in Evo.

http://evo2k.com/2011/bracket-ssf4ae-v0.jpg

I’m interested in running a pool for this. Of course we will have to wait until the top 32 is decided as currently the brackets are only simulated and made based on seeding. Only until the top 32 is made will we know what the bracket looks like for sure. Eitherway, those that are interested let me know and I will set up a pool for this once the official top 32 is made.

Rules will follow those exactly of NCAA march madness (for those unaware, essentially its just the point system that rewards more points for wins further along in the bracket, so you are rewarded with picking those that go further as opposed to picking say, all 1st round matches correct).

I’d run one for marvel too, since I bet that will be an absolute clusterfuck of hilarity.

Yes turbo, I am a wu-tang fan. Still got Ghostface’s Ironman on cassette.

Oh I would be interested in this , do we win anything for getting the most points?
I do prefer cookies over Scott’s chili :P.

Ack…I jsut realized this post is in this thread…it was meant to be in the KW thread lol. Yeah each person would put in like $2 and the winner takes all the money.

You are banned for not respecting Scott’s chili. Don’t worry Scott, I got your back!

well im sure this would be a good idea for the event possibly.

I know evo is going on until like 3 am ( don’t know for what games) and this event starts at 6
So i assume players will be out of pools and inside brackets when the fundraiser starts.
I dunno how long people want to be there but its possible a similar type of system
can be implemented for the brackets that will exist on friday.

This is just speculation.

Btw, I don’t believe the chili hype until its made and tasted.

Ya with a name like Winter warz I thought so, but you never know. Just thought I’d ask.

What time does this fundraising thing go until? I want to come but I have to work that night. If it goes later into the night then I’ll try to get off as early as I can so I can come hang for a while.

Also, when does top 32/16 start in SSF4AE? I want in on the fantasy picks too… came to this thread to suggest it lol. Unfortunately if it’s early then I won’t be able to though :frowning:

Closing time on friday is pretty up in the air…no definite time yet, prob will be late though

top 32 is on sunday so if u come to casuals on wednesday we can get ur picks in then

Not sure if I can make it to this 1 but it’s awesome that we can styll help out with the donations:)

Alright guys as a contributing factor to help raise money, I will be hosting a mini tournament.

The game that will be playing is Super Mario Kart for SNES.

Entry fee will be $2.00 per person. All money proceeds will go towards the Andre fund.

But here’s the kicker…Microplay was kind enough to donate really amazing prizes so there will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes for the winners!

So there you have it. If you’re coming out, be sure to enter this for some good ol’ retro fun.

bahhhhhhh I can’t get someone to take my shift so I work until 9… Hopefully I’ll get off early, but still. I’m going to miss everything good :frowning: I’ll try to make it out after that if things are still going on. I want in on that Mario Kart tourny lol. Also, I’ll probably bring my copy of BlazBlue just for the hell of it. Maybe something else too…

sorry cant make it. i’ll be donating though paypal
