well if the supreme court says it…it pretty much sways in your favor in the court. basically their was a football player who was 18(black) and his g/f was 16 or 17(white). they had consentual sex…the father of the girl found out and told her to say rape. he went to jail, but it came out she was forced to say that. but because the age of consent was 18 they kept him in jail for stat rape. he had a big following band together and it was brought before the supreme court who said the law was never intended for people so close in age to be arrested.
