The Kairi Wikepedia stuff I’m not sure of. Honestly I can’t dispute any of it really since I’m just going by what other SF storyline people have said, SHRUG… I think the SF EX stroyline is trickier to pin down than SF’s, due to only one game with translated endings, one strat guide in English that only has character bio intros, and SF EX3 not covered in All About Capcom or having a seperate All About Book…
Kairi falling off the mountain originally may be something that got retconned when they decided on having him killing Gouki. If memory serves, when Gouki struck him with the SGS he fell off a mountain too, boy they sure love mountains in SF EX.
I suppose both can happen like Wikipedia says, don’t really know to be honest with you.
The ony thing Saiki ever said about Hayate was that he weilded a sword that is said to of taken down a legendary demon (and the word Orochi comes up a few times in his movelist sooo…) he didn’t say anything about him meeting Kairi so I don’t know where Wikipedia got that from. Again, I can’t confirm or deny what’s true and what isn’t.
Pullum went after Shadowloo because they brainwashed one of her relatives, was it an uncle - I can’t remember. Don’t know how far she got so who knows…
Yeah I put in Rio’s name in Gamefaqs and then put the title through Google Images just to make extra sure. I knew it was Rio something lol! One less thing for you to worry about so I edited my usual “Hey vasili10 the heck is this?” question out of the Akiman gamer girl post.
It’s what keeps Hokuto’s bloodline’s violent traits and tendencies in check, from her father’s side. Instead of Evil Hokuto, her other self is named Seal of Blood Unraveled Hokuto in Japanese.
It’s amazing how much work scanning is, even for me now that I have all sorts of shortcuts and an automated digital machinery built up. I got too much to do to scan right now. Scanning one or two pages is no problem but the Bandai cards, sigh. I invite everybody to scan theirs for me though and I’ll do the rest. Here is a list of cards that I have, so if you got any but those, scan em and send em, no need to scan each card separately: http://fightingstreet.com/folders/faqfolder/helppage.html
Just scan several cards at once and don’t worry if they’re not perfectly align. Your (user)names will be mentioned of course. Need help or got questions?
I know what I know mostly from reading. Looking into various sources for certain stuff, and I end up finding other stuff to unleash when someone asks.
Would you be able to give me an answer for my question at the end of the Street Fighter II & “official” canon thread in the Comic Book forum please? I’m curious for your response.
I thought the official reason Belger sat in a wheelchair was that he hates to walk?
That Sealed of Blood Hokuto thing is old info. I mean, much of what we know about SF’s story is old, albeit not revealed until years later by Saiki and/or the various mega SF story threads, but I came across that info circa 1998 or so, most likely in alt.games.sf2, or possibly from Dark Lancer’s old arcade site.
In other words, it was there to be found if you knew where to look. Not like some of the more esoteric stuff we’ve only gotten because Saiki or vasili10 decided to point it out to us.
Crap also needs to actually read Tiamat’s PLot FAQ (see link in Sano’s signature).
Concerning those FFCD bio pics, there’s at least one thing interesting I note: Sodom is a lot smaller than he is in SFA. According to that, he’s 190 cm (6’3", same height as me) and 98 kg (216.1 lbs), which is still a bit on the light side for his size, but it’s a lot more reasonable than his Alpha dimensions, which puts him at 208 cm (6’10") and a mere 108 kg (238.1 lbs). The 108 kg would be more fitting to his 190 cm height, while his 208 cm shouldn’t be anything less than about 140 kg (308.6 lbs).
Indeed, the height/weight values for the characters listed seem reasonably close to what they “should” be. Andore Jr. being 229 cm (7’6") and 232 kg (511 lbs) seems about right. This is certainly a lot more reasonable for a man of that girth than Hugo’s 240 cm (7’10 1/2") laughable 200 kg (440.9 lbs). Hugo should be at 270 kg (595 lbs), i.e. he should be hovering near the 600 lbs mark.
Or, looking more closely, Hugo should be weighing at least what Abigail is weighing (265 kg, or 584 lbs). And Abigail is only a smidgen shorter than Hugo too. Wow, Abigail is a monster!
And don’t talk about the rest of the SF characters. Most of their weights are jokes. I wonder how they managed to get it right for Final Fight?
