Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

'Tis cool, go for it.

I’m glad I didn’t stop bitching about the Zangief gay story, maybe Saiki made a little mistake but I still like him personally.

SFIIT guide

“I remember seeing them in a picture go through this one old SF2T guide when fixing the character relations charts, so that book’s been on my maybe list for info.”

Vasili10 could you decribe the cover of this guide, because there are so many SFIIT guides and I only have one. Thanks!

This one here:

Maybe if Dash no Chris has it, he could give a description for it.

Eeep. Never mind. Learned that book’s not useful for this thread already. Scratch request above.

I have that SF2 Turbo Guide too. I bought it when I was in Japan thinking it was an “All About” book since it was lumped in with all of the other All About books in one of the stores I went to, but it’s not. It has bios of the 12 characters but the book is mostly strats. No endings featured either and it doesn’t have any rare artwork. No relationship chart in there. Don’t buy it. I’m available for scans if needed.

Oh that was the one you got back then, sano? Got me wondering too, with it having 350+ pages. You’d think with that size it’d be packed with more fan stuff, Gamest mooks seldom topped 300 pages, of course they were bigger and could hold more per page. See if you can send me along with everything else pending Balrog’s bio, just in case it talks about his childhood trauma. Thanks sano.

Arg, read this just after I sent you the CVS2 Zangief quotes, DOH! I’ll be sending it to you shortly. And yes, there’s that much gameplay info in there… pages on like how character x can defeat character z for every single possible match up in the game for example, pretty deep and thorough.

Oh man, eat sleep breathe strategy book all the way. Nothing storyish but stats. Rats, 353p… Thanks for clearing that up sano.

Some extra info:
The premier of Club Capcom states that Haggar’s 50 in FF2, and during Muscle Bomber he’s 40. Unless aerialgroove brings out info from his sources saying otherwise, in order for FF1 and FF2 to take place in 1987 and 1988 respectively, MB happened in 1978, SMB was in 1979, and Haggar’s 49 in FF1 (or if Haggar remains 46 for FF1 as in his in-game bio, then FF1 takes place in 1984). Also from the same issue, Jessica’s 18 during MB, during FF2 Maki’s 20, and Carlos’ age is unknown.

Isn’t most of that stuff already in the Plot Guide? Although I think I might’ve told Tiamat Haggar’s age during FF2 in a PM. I remember saying that he’s 40 during MB somewhere in the thread. Could be wrong, tho. Final Fight 2 takes place ‘several years’ after the original according to its US instruction booklet. Muscle Bomber is stated to take place in the '80’s, according to its instruction booklet(Japanese version). FF2 and FF3’s year settings were only guesses by Saiki. 1988 and '91 weren’t officially stated to be the years they took place.

What the Capcomers are up to in Namco x Capcom so far, or what I’m up to now, bunch of spoilers and stuff (well, kind of spoilers since I don’t know what the Hell the characters are saying…)

Stage 2 - No Capcomers. That was easy…

Stage 3 - This looks like ancient Japan land. Mitsurugi and others are on a quest to find some kind of special sword. Miss Tron shows up with a Servebot to help out, even battles some flunkies from the Megaman Legends game. They beat all the baddies and get the sword.

Stage 4 - Apparently Morrigan and Demitri are hanging out. Along with that Namco Valkyrie girl who cries in the Anime Intro, they attack a castle in ‘Ghouls and Ghosts’ land. Valkyrie girl got her own orders from her boss lady, but looks like the three team up. They defeat some Reapers from G&G, some wizards too, but then some dude who looks like a Red Arramer wearing armor (not Firebrand though) shows up and calls his boys, a whole bunch of G&G villains surround the castle. Demitri, Morrigan and Valkyrie girl get the hell out of there.

Stage 5 - ENTER RYU AND KEN!!! They are having some words in what sort of looks like Ken’s San Francisco SF2 stage. Looks like they get on a big boat… perhaps Ken owns it?

On the same boat Bruce of Resident Evil Dead Aim meets up with that other chick from Resident Evil Dead Aim (at least I think she’s from there, who the hell played Dead Aim?) and Regina of Dino Crisis, Bruce teams up/fights with Regina, the other girl teams up with Lei Lei of Darkstalkers. They fight baddies on the boat, a few Dragon Quest looking Slimes that frequent the game and some guys dressed as evil Knights. Soon Ryu and Ken show up to join the fight. Bruce recognizes Ken Masters, I guess his fame preceeds him. Ryu needs to be introduced though. Zabel/Lord Raptor appears. He’s a bad guy in this game that fights our heroes! He’s not with Le Malta either so far. He sees Lei Lei as he’s still in love with her, hearts come out of his eyes just like the game. Jin of Tekken appears, Lei Lei seems to like him and Zabel gets jealous, oooh… our heroes defeat all the baddies ending the Stage.

Took a look at Stage six, it has Sakura, Karin, Felicia and Tekken’s King, the intro to every stage shows a bunch of the characters in the next stage. Very addictive and lots of fun!

Vasili10 - Question from Travincal of Gamefaqs regarding Hauzer’s CFJ quotes -

"Why does Hauzer say Gogogo? What is that onomatopoeia for? I’d be amazied if anyone heard “Grrrrrrrrrrr” as “Gogogogo…”

‘Gogogogo’ does kind of sound like the noise he makes in the game to me, in a very Godzilla-esque kind of way.

Understood, just piecing together a theory based on given data. In the end, it all depends on which game times you take as irrefutable axioms, and what other time-related info can be adjusted. SF wasn’t officially stated to take place 1987 either, that’s just when it, the first game of the whole mess, came out. Then FF1 then SF2 which bridged FF to the SF universe which was still okay storywise. MB and FF2 and SMB came out next embellishing Final Fight’s past and future, and the story was still fine. Capcom truly got themselves into story turmoil once the Zero series began. Then it became a hassle to fit the Final Fight continuities to Street Fighter’s, and of course the rest is history.

That’s most likely what it is, either a dragon’s growl or a dragon’s gloating; it reminded me at first of Jabba the Hut’s hohohoing.

Hey Sano, long time no see.I see you finally managed to get your PS2 modded just like mine, and enjoying NxC.And I see you have already gone far just like me.Have you seen the so cool character who makes his debut in the game with that legendary attack. If you seen this event,I better not tell you for now or I spoil the surprise.BTW,have you done the Multiple Assault that Ryu and Ken have, when they attack one target with the Souryuken?Later.

Vasili10 - Thanks for clearing up the Gogogo thing.

Snkneogeoshing2k4 - I did Ryu and Ken’s Multiple Assault Shoryuken against an evil knight, awesome! I liked the Multiple Assault with the 2 RE dead Aim cahracters, Lei Lei and Regina too. I think you’re a bit farther than me though…

I played Stage 6 last night. MORE SPOILERS - Back in the city from stage 1 Karin and Sakura saw a broadway type show of sorts of that girl who trips in the Anime Intro, she and what’s his face, Bravo Man, the guy who’s arm stretches are apparently Super Heroes with dual identities. Sakura and Karin saw her wearing plain clothes. Later Felicia wearing the outfit she wears when Demitri Midnight Blisses her is hanging with King of Tekken, but looses the outfit soon and becomes our Felicia again. I THIIINK they are looking for Xenosaga’s M.O.M.O. for some reason. From the Namco Museum (not the game, an actual Musuem that has Pac-Man Statues outside, think of the famous New York Library but replace the lion statues with Pac-Man ones) or just outside of it appears a purple haired warrior princess type and some goons as the enemies. Bravo Man’s girl transforms, they all fight the baddies. Later Sakura and Karin appear out in the street. Sakura recognizes Felicia, she’s famous in the game for her acting/musical carreer whatever. Sakura’s happy to see her in person, Karin is indifferent as you would guess. They join the fight, the two main characters of the game show up with KOS-MOS, M.O.M.O. and that other Xenosaga girl that pals with M.O.M.O. There’s a clown guy who keeps showing up in the game, looks like a balloon with hands, feet, and sharp teeth. I got him down to about 1,000 life points from 3,000 or so and he bounced. He’ll be back… the baddies were beaten, Bravo Man and his girl revert to their non super hero outfits, Bravo Man looks like a dork, a really geeky looking Clark Kent, LOL! That ends that stage.

Well Sano,I’m glad you pulled off the Souryuken. And about the surprise I just talked about, don’t worry, you’ll see it very soon.

Posted at Gamefaqs by Norris, DingoEnderZOE22, Chrissy and JL Lee. Some Namco x Capcom funny conversations!

CHUN-LI: …the clothes your wearing…are they a recent fad?
MORRIGAN: No, they’re just normal.
CHUN-LI: …
[Insert other comments here]
CHUN-LI: …Are you human?
MORRIGAN: pout You ask too many questions…what’s next? My 3 sizes?

FELICIA: I guess we should search around for clues. :Sniff sniff: C’mom King you search around too!
KING: This is a mask!

KEN: …the heck? Is this some kind of goofy girl ninja?
KEN: …then again, we have one of those ourselves, so I guess there isn’t much room to comment…
TAKI: Don’t compare me to that. glare

In the mid stages Rock(Megaman Volnut of MM Legends) actually called Juno(MM Legends 1 Boss) an “Irregular”, (as in MMX Irregulars) without actually knowing why he did it.

Looks like that Videogame Vixens Show on G4 Tech TV has teamed up with Gamefaqs, currently on Gamefaq’s home page they are running a one day poll, “Who is the strongest female fighter of all time?” Currently Chun-Li is DESTROYING everybody, mwahahaha…

Chun-Li (Street Fighter) 43.41% 17816 votes

Kasumi (Dead or Alive) 16.09% 6605 votes

Ivy (Soul Calibur) 21.72% 8916 votes

Sonya (Mortal Kombat) 13.54% 5556 votes

NXC Spoilers and shtuff -

Stage 7 - Heihachi has a meeting with some weird looking dude who’s hair looks like a big piece of purple brocoli. Outside of his building, the Hero team, the two main characters and the Xenosaga/Bravo Man/Felicia and King crew meet up with the Lei Lei RE Dead Aim Dino Crisis Team. Together with Jin they trash thugs and a guy who looks like Bravo Man’s Arch Nemesis. The original boss lady character comes out with two monsters and mentions Shadowloo and Vega. Bruce recognizes Shadowloo. She leaves and Jin leaves too.

Stage 8 - Takes place in front of Justice High School. Sakura and Karin stand in front and are attacked by goons, then Hideo and Kyoko show up who Sakura recognizes. Also Guy and Captain Commando’s ninja show up, they are both called masters of Bushin Ryu. Their Multiple Assault Attack is that they both perform Guy’s SFZ3 Level 3 Super Art on the same enemy. The main villain here, a clown guy gets taking out by… the mysterious character… GOUKI! He takes him out with a Shun Goku Satsu but the baddie survives but gets knocked out. Gouki Ashura warps away…

Syage 9 - Chun-Li is still pursuing Cammy, Juni, and Juli. In a fountain area, RYU KEN AND CHUN-LI ALL MEET UP! Hooray! Obviously they all know each other. When Cammy is down to 1,000 life points she bounces. Later the Hero/Xeonosaga/Bravo Man/Felicia King team, the RE/Lel Lei/Dino Crisis Team, Sakura and Karin, Kyoko and Hideo all turn up. They fight random goons, the boss villainess and her two big thugs. After you defeat her, she manages to teleport everyone somewhere else.
