Warriors Fate: Street Fighter story thread, revived

Sorry, not sure if you mean the pics from top of this page or the Jimmy Eddy pic. The pictures I posted earlier are from a DVD that comes with the Ryu VS manga book. It’s the only episode (as far as I know) made for a show that got replaced by SFIIV and so never made it. The Jimmy Eddy pic is from the Street Fighter III secret file that looks like a newspaper and has all sorts of more or less silly stories.

I was referring to the Street Fighter 2 pics.

Any chance you upload that episode or send it to me?

I tried to PM you but your PM mailbox is full.

try again. I cleaned some of it out.

Viewing pics - :karate:

Shingo - So, do you have Namco x Capcom yet?

Anyway, check out the latest vid. Ryu and Ken vs. Gouki. YES!!!

I’ll try to finish up the Capcom seiyuus tomorrow.

What is this?

No idea…

Me and vasili10’s CFE Bio/Quote Translation Faq is up! I go by SRKSANO over at Gamefaqs since my old Gamefaqs name, ‘Sano from Shoryuken’ glitched. Most people over there still know me as Sano. Anyway, check out the Faq!

Originally from the thread that made Dash no Chris notice me again. I believe it was asked by TimeStop for publications Nakahira Masahiko-sensei had a hand in contributing for. Chris’ post about the pictured book:

Title: Sakura Ganbaru! Saishuushou - Sotsugyou
Circle: Studio Zero
Release: 12-29-2004
Price: 1000 yen
I picked up this doujinshi at Winter Comiket at the end of last year (this is the one depicted in the auction link provided by vasili10 in the previous post). Entitled “Saishuushou - Sotsugyou” (meaning “Final Chapter - Graduation”), it is apparently Nakahira’s final Sakura Ganbaru! short manga story. Karin turns their class’ graduation ceremony into a cage match in an effort to get one last bout with her rival, Sakura. In the end, the fight inspires Sakura (previously uncertain of the path her life should take) to decide to become a teacher – which, of course, plays into the epilogue of the original Sakura Ganbaru! manga series which depicted an older Sakura in the role of a Phys Ed teacher. The doujinshi concludes with 6 Q&A pages from artists Nakahira Masahiko, Yoshizaki Mine, Hidiri Rei, Akatsuki Gomoku, Takurou, & Takamichi) – artists 2-6 also each contribute a b&w Sakura illustration, except for Hidiri Rei who chooses to draw Karin instead.

I don’t suppose anyone can give something resembling a translation or at least a synposis of that SFII part Aerial has.

Once again, the legendary Dash No Chris gave a synopsis of it on the eighth post of this page.

thanx for the pic aerialgroove

sano, I checked the post and I have to agree, when I first saw it I wondered why it was so educational and what all of that stuff had to do with SF. They should have made more of these movies.

On the same thread, what did sp00ky mean with
"The Ken + Ryu versus M.Bison (cape) fight in this series BLOWS AWAY the fight in the SF2 animated movie.

None of that “I’ll fight you on your own level” bullshit. Scissor kicks, psycho crushers, badass electric glowing fists to the face. Appropriately violent."? What movie or anime?

He was talking about how the fight with Ryu and Ken vs. Vega(M.Bison in the US) was better in SF2V then it was in the SF2 Animated Movie because Vega in SF2V was going all out with the Psycho crushers, projectiles, teleporting, etc. I like both of the battles myself, the movie’s Double Hadouken is a classic. Either way, Vega is still the man.

It does seem to be an odd use of SF2 characters.

Especially including Honda for some reason. Although I guess this could be seen as proof Honda knows Chunli in canon since he already knows Ryu and presumably Ken.

Wait: How did haru ichiban get in there?

So Goutetsu had 6 techniques, and not 4? Could you repost the six, since your original list is kinda confusing (that is, unless haru ichiban is supposed to be in there). And shouldn’t the Shun Goku Satsu be one of them?

My bad , I made the division in the wrong place. Original post at the bottom of p.312 should be fixed now. Thanks for catching that Ultima.

Goutetsu’s six sure-killing techniques/special moves in US terminology (as opposed to supers or super combos) are the following according to HnN:

-gou hadouken
-gou shoryuken
-shakunetsu hadouken
-zankuu hadouken
-tatsumaki zankuukyaku
-ashura senkuu

The shungokusatsu isn’t one of them. In the first place, Gouki’s move on Vega in SSF2X had no name until SFZ. In the second, I have yet to find support for Clay’s and Saiki’s claims that Goutetsu taught the shungokusatsu, so they or anyone else need to speak up about that. AAC always mentions the three moves devised by Goutetsu, never the four. Going from three to six as listed above, the gou hadouken has two variations making it three types of hadoukens, and ashura senkuu is in a misleading group because it’s not a typical damage-dealing move. I’m guessing Goutetsu’s master(s) passed it to him, and he did to Gouki and Gouken, but AAC credits the creation of the base moves hadouken, shoryuken, and tatsumaki senpuukyaku to Goutetsu.

Finishing up Namco x Capcom’s Capcom characters so I can move on to the Namco characters -

Sylphie: RIE TANAKA - Chii in Chobits. Ren Mikihara in Full Metal Panic. Lucas Clyne in Gundam Seed. Saki in Steel Angel Kurumi.

Rockman (Megaman) Volnutt: MAYUMI TANAKA - Kuririn, Yajirobe, Suuho Gorou in Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. Luffy in One Piece. Tsukayama Yutarou in One Piece. Koenma in Yu Yu Hakusho.

Roll: KEIKO YOKOZAWA - Roll in Megaman Legends 1 & 2. Kumi in City Hunter. Dorami in Doraemon. Kumagami Takeo in Pat Labor. Ten’s mother in Urusei Yatsura.

Tron Bonne: MAYUMI IIZUKA - Tron Bonne in Megaman Legends 1 & 2, the Misadventures of Tron Bonne and MVC2. Kasumi(Misty) in Pokemon. Yukari and Millerna in Escaflowne. Sora only in the Escaflowne Movie. Pipi(Clefairy) in Pokemon. Erika in Virus. Kaori in Weiss Kreuz.

Kobun(Servebot): CHISA YOKOYAMA - Sasami/Sammy in all of the many versions of Tenchi Muyo. Maria in Castlevania Dracula X. Noin in Gundam Wing. Misanagi in Rurouni Kenshin. CHUN-LI IN THE STREET FIGHTER II V ANIME!

Going out with SF2V’s Chun-Li seiyuu, what a way to close out the Capcomers! :qcf::qcf: :hk:

You know, I’m almost afraid to voice this but under SF ‘influences’ the Dark Side of the Force maybe could be cited.

After all, Fear, hate, angry not only describe the ability to shoot Force Lighting but sound suspiciously similar to the description Vega uses referring to his Psycho Power…

Just a thought.

I’m pretty sure this is/was a common cliche in general…
