Vegeto, and name doesn’t have anything to do with who dominates. The name difference from the movie is because of a different type of fusion. If the gap between SSJ2 and SSJ3 is not astronomically great, then it’s enough to get Vegeta pissed before they both take on Buu. Majin Vegeta won that time because Goku held back for a greater reason besides humbling Vegeta to shreds.

Ah don’t want to continue this, so I’ll agree to disagree.
On the whole Goku/ Vegeta thing i have a few comments. The gap between SS2 and SS3 is big enough for Goku to be able to kill Magin Buu if he goes all out. Vegeta who was SS2 got killed by Magin Buu. (Well technically he blew himself up but you get the point.) Also when Vegeta was Majin Vegeta he was only Goku’s equal at SS2. He was stronger than Goku’s SS2 form, but Goku was still the better Fighting Genius. So that made them equals. Vegeta says this himself during the fight. And he knocked Goku out because Goku let his guard down because he thought they both were gonna fight Buu. Also Gohan is stronger than Vegeta and Goku. Like i said in my last post Gohan is the strongest non fused character in the series. Now he doesn’t train to get this power and it’s brought out of him but he is still the strongest. Holla at me.

Nadeshiko doesn’t appear in SFA3. The RC webmaster said a friend of his made that sprite.

Man, I thought this was over until you said Gohan rules Goku and Vegeta… LOL!
Gohan has the potential, but he just doesn’t train hard enough due to his moms pushing him to study hard in school. He could of become the main character, but too many fans complained “Bring back Goku!” so he was reduced to scrub status…
You said it yourself. Vegeta blew himself up to take out Maijin Buu.
If a writer wants to make a rivalry one sided so that one person dominates, it has been done before -
Ranma vs. Ryoga - Ranma always wins.
Inu Yasha vs. Seshomaru - Sesh owns, but Yasha won the first time.
Yugi vs. Kaiba - Yugi always wins.
Kenshiro vs. Raoh - Kenshiro wins in the end.
BUT if a writer wants to create an Eternal Rivalry, they never have one person fully defeat the other person and leave it open so you could make a case for the other person winning - granted, for Vegeta it is hard. Once again, I agree that Goku owns Vegeta, but it’s closer than most imagine. That’s all I’m saying. Eternal Rivalries -
Kenshin vs. Saito
Iori vs. Kyo
Goku vs. Vegeta
Ryu vs. Sagat
- See how I mentioned Ryu vs. Sagat? Way to stay on topic, LOL!
Not always. Yami lost to Kaiba at Duelist Kingdom because scrub Yugi interfered and didn’t want to risk hurting him. If he’d just let that Celtic Gaurdian finish off Kaiba’s BEUD, he would’ve made it into the castle right then, and Kaiba STILL would’ve survived (he had once before evading capture by Pegasus’s men). Yugi is Yami’s biggest weak spot, and Kaiba took advantage of it, though he doesn’t fully understand how.
I also heard in one of the more recent episodes, Yami lost a fair duel to Kaiba’s Obelisk the Tormentor.
I wonder. Are people still debating who owns who on this one?

Right, I forgot about that one, but it was a cheap win and they still don’t have an Eternal Rivalry. In the Manga Yugi beat Kaiba twice before Duelist’s Kingdom. I don’t think anyone questions that overall Yugi owns Kaiba. They have a Rivalry it’s just not an Eternal one. An Eternal Rivalry is one that never gets settled.
Darn! Maybe it was a dream where I thought I saw it…anywho.
Ryu and Sagat I would say are closer to eternal rivals than Goku and Vegeta. Like sano said, eternal rivalry is a long ways off from getting settled, but along with it never getting settled, the drive must remain as well. After Buu is defeated (so I don’t risk bringing GT up) Vegeta’s drive kind of dies off. Vegeta’s always wanted to “beat Goku beat Goku” ever since Goku reached SSJ first, whereas Goku just went on and only fought Vegeta to keep him from doing more harm. Goku and Vegeta aren’t like Ryu and Ken who see each other periodically and both want to fight to see how much each has improved. It’s always Vegeta who wants to fight Goku specifically. Goku doesn’t care whom he fights, as long as they’re strong. It’s kind of one-sided if you will, because they didn’t start on fairly similar grounds like Ryu and Ken. Vegeta was stronger first, and then Goku surpassed him, then vice versa several times.
Ryu and Ken trained together, and one had a slight knack over the other developed through time or even naturally. They are eternal rivals, but would be moreso if Ken was a loner like Ryu.
Ryu and Sagat on the other hand, are the best examples of eternal rivals because neither has had a clean victory and both continue to have the drive burn within themselves.
Well, you guys have completely forgotten to note (for me) THE Anime/Taisen Kakutou Game Eternal Rivalry per se:Uchiha Sasuke Vs. Uzumaki Naruto.Need I say more? Fuck no.

vasili10 - We can agree on that much at least.
Interestingly enough, Kenshin creator Watsuki actually stated that Saito Hajime owns Kenshin, if they ever fought Saito would win. The only way Kenshin would win the fight is if he had something or someone to protect. Saito’s drive to fight Kenshin dies off too at the end of the Manga when he realizes he is no longer the Battousi.

I only read the Naruto Manga released in the US. So far, looks like Sasuki owns, but Naruto has a ‘randomness factor’ AKA something could happen that may allow him to win, like him reverting to the Nine Tails Demon.
I think Naruto and Sasuki are the only Eternal Rivals that actually kissed though… LOL!
CAPCOM FIGHTING JAM SUCKS!
…Just an attempt to bring the spotlight back on Capcom.
EDIT:
I found something better, do you think it’s possible to stop breathing for 20 minutes like Sagat is said to be able to? I think it’s too much, maybe 8 minutes or 10 but 20?
Until I play it, I’d like to think of it as a grown-up Pocket Fighter, but anyway…
I don’t know; maybe he makes small swallows while holding like I do when I’m underwater, it’s a game after all.
I don’t know if Udon’s secret’s been revealed yet, but I just thought how would it be if they translated the rest of Nakahira’s SF manga? Would anyone besides me like that?

Speaking of CFJ, someone at the Gamefaqs Boards (can not be trusted…) is saying that Studio Udon will be drawing all ot the endings for CFJ. This seems to fit the profile of Udon’s Secret Project given to them by Capcom. Anyway, hope it’s true, and keep the secret, don’t tell udoneko…
And since nobody noticed it yet,here it is;
Thanks to the positive feedback from the multiple loke tests of Capcom Fighting Jam,it seems they are now officially working on their biggest project ever:STREET FIGHTER 4!!! IN 2D!!!
And it even has a release date:SUMMER 2006!!!
I got this on the latest News Blurbs & Rumours report at SNK-Capcom.com at the General News & Rumours thread.
And now,I’ve layed it out for y’all to play it out.Later.

RE CFJ: The only ending the guy at Gamefaqs said he saw was Ryu’s. Ryu was fighting Gallon(AKA Talbain) in his ending.

SF4 in 2006? Now there’s two rumors I heard today that I hope come to pass…
Dude, are you kidding me!!! I’d LOVE that!!! For years I’ve been surfing the net, hoping that someone would scan Ryu Final and translate it or something. If that was the secret, I’d be down w/ it. Ryu Final, Sakura Ganbaru, Street Fighter Zero…that would be too awesome.
SF4? Studio Udon drawing the CFJ endings? Hmmm…I dunno 'bout that, but that’s pretty ill if it’s true.
