The holes may need a minor file job but, 30mm Sanwas are what you desire.
The Sanwas are convex like the original parts, right? Did you have to do anything else besides widening the holes? The stock buttons seem just fine to me, in fact, I think they only failed because I got them too hot from soldering directly to their terminals (learned my lesson)… do the Sanwas “feel” different?
I just read your email. I’m going to go box up the parts now and send your quote in email. I’ll be back in a few minutes to recheck this thread. Thanks!
Nice work, are those Neo-Geo colors for A X Y Z? And did you replace the stick or just color the ball? I can’t tell. Thanks for the info.
It’s totally better to go with Sanwas but that requires some modding. If you have a dremel it’s not that bad at all. I really have no idea what a fair price for the Agetec buttons would be since it seems like most people just throw them away.
I thought so. I have a home system with KOF '94-'02 and SS 1-3, plus an MVS converter that no longer works (not certain if it is my system or the converter, I’d like to have it tested on someone else’s console) and a few MVS carts.
I modded it for S-video and the picture is absolutely perfect.
Used to play the hell out of KOF, especially 2000. Great fluid gameplay.
I am in the same boat as you kevin, but i don’t want to mod the stick at all. Have you heard of the PC Joy box 3 in 1? (http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-6m-49-en-70-1hv.html) I’m hearing that the agetec works with the PC, but can anyone confirm if this works for the PS3?

here’s a pretty decent guide. my parts from lizardlick shipped which im going to use to mod one of my agetecs. if you’re using the original top plate (as i am) you’ll have to widen the holes a bit to let the 30mm buttons fit.
I’m thinking of buying this converter (Trio Linker II Plus) to connect my Dreamcast Arcade stick into my PS3.
Has anyone got this converter (Trio Linker II Plus) and tried SF4 with it?
