Hi, Im new here and felt like posting a couple wallpapers I made. Theyre both a set of characters on a plain white background. The first is all of them and the second is just the shotos. What do you think, especially about the placement or order of the characters?
These are 16801050. I dont plan to resize them for now, but it would be easy to make others with a different set of four characters. However, Im curious: is there a good hosting site that accepts larger than 1600-pixel width or 1.5 MB and doesnt watermark? (Luckily the watermark on these only covered white space.)

Art Style
Calling all digital art experts,
I’ve been scanning through these SFIV portraits and trying to get a fix on how they were done. You can see there’s pencil strokes for some shading. And some kind of sumi-e type brush for the black ink swishes maybe…
But how about the main coloring? I’ve been looking over the BLANKA portrait and it looks like maybe watercolor.
I’m trying to do a few other characters in a similar style (Haomaru for instance) and I can’t seem to get a fix on it.
Any tips? Tricks? What are you guys doing to match the style?

Well, I’m no expert but I think the best way to get this type of shading is to first get in the basic shadows in first with a large, soft brush. After that, choose the Airbrush Pen Opacity Flow brush, and start coloring it in with that, the harder you press on the tablet, the darker the color would get. This will give the pic a water-color look. After that, I’m guessing to add a few random watercolor brushes that you can find at brusheezy.com, and change the opacity to around 25%-50% and do a few random strokes. You need a tablet to do the Airbrush Pen Opacity Flow brush, since the brush is pressure sensitive. I hope this helps.
