Just one of those regular madcatz ones. I picked this up a long time ago when FYE was going out of business at Eastview Mall. I managed to get it for cheap then. A random thought, but I remember that arcade that was part of FYE had Virtual On there years ago. Somehow I had a random urge to play a Virtual On Machine.
FYE at Eastview was my favorite place to go, they had Tekken 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom 1. I used to go there to buy anime too, back when VHS was still the shit, and it was really expensive.

it could work! vajra covers GR’s holes nicely, arthur lets you put more shit onscreen, GR builds meter pretty well for either ouroboros or arthur’s nuke. DHC’s seem like they would function just fine as well. A friend of mine down here runs xf3 arthur, its a real problem. Like a “snap that guy in” problem.
Yeah, Arthur is getting to be a very devastating anchor. So I’m definitely doing my best to work him back into my team. I’m so comfortable with GR because… well… he’s so herp-derp! I’m not sure about strider yet but Vajra definitely helps out nicely with GR’s keep away but I feel like I’d have a struggle for saving meter for either Arthur or Strider. So I’m feeling like it’s either Arthur or Strider as an anchor and I might just throw in some more herp-derp with Hawkeye. not sure yet

I used to shop for anime VHS’ with a buddy then, at shops like Suncoast and Tower Records. It was that or trading for 100th generation tapes through god-knows-how. Even worse were Hong Kong movies, which cost around nothing to natives, were like $40 apiece.
Anime VHS tapes was bout dat life. I’m from nyc , I remember going to the depths of China town to get my anime VHS tapes , I still got a lot of them lol.

How’s it going, guys? It’s been quite some time and I didn’t get to meet a lot of you, but due to personal stuff I had to duck out for a while. Short version is that I’m back and now live in Henrietta, quite close to RIT and Marketplace. I’m down for casuals at my place any time someone wants to play (and I’m not working). I try not to play on Xbox Live as much as possible so I’d prefer offline lol. I’m also going to Evo (room is already booked at Caesar’s Palace…going all-in this year haha), so I could use the practice for SoulCalibur, Street Fighter blahblah 2012, and Marvel, as I’m gonna enter everything but Mortal Kombat and possibly KoFXIII.

The worst gaming event I’ve ever been to. I’ll write up a bit about it when I’m not on njtransit. I went 2-2. Had to play Dire first round, won. Then lost to unknown because I’m an idiot 2.5hrs later. After another 2 hrs beat some guy that wouldn’t stop hitting buttons, then lost to reyrey AGAIN to eliminate me. I basically spent like 50 to play ppl I play in weeklies here. More to come.

In an effort to not get buried by posts about the tournaments, I’m posting again haha. Anybody local to Rochester that wants to get games in? I’d really like to get some more solid practice in. I have a couple friends who are reasonably decent but nobody that’s my level or better. I’ve transitioned to stick since the last time I fought any of you guys and while my skills at Street Fighter are passable at best, I’m very strong in Marvel and 3D fighters have always been my forte.
So yeah…I have a place in Henrietta and can host quite a few people at once, so I’m looking to start getting some sessions going. Anyone in is welcome. I’m close enough to everything that I can pick people up if necessary too. I really just didn’t want to start my own thread or try finding people at GameFAQs or something. Thanks.
