Wait a minute there's a Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper?

console is shit period for a3. saturn is the closest to arcade, but suffers from bad slowdown on vc startup, which is enough to deter people from playing that one. dc, the timing on damn near everything is different, combos and such. dhalsim and guy were significantly weakened, sprite sizes are so wrong. things hit incorrectly. rose grab super got raped from counter mashing.

I understand wanting to tweak a game for better balance, but when you port the arcade game to the home, you need to make it INTACT. you use an upgrade to make changes, hence, upper. but upper was poorly distroed in japan and was completely dismissed by japanese gamers. if they are gonna do a little upgrade, they need to make it a forced upgrade, like what sega and namco do, and what midway used to do back in the day. capcom has always been bad with getting their players to accept basic rom upgrades or full blown upgrades. sammy, namco, and sega dont have this problem, but capcom does. nothing new.

even if u think v-ism is gay,at least it brings new to SFA. Both 1 & 2 were stuck in Aism. Even if 2 had both A & V together. A3 Vism makes it a game of its own!
X-ism is scrubby!
Is the GBA ver based on Upper? I think it so since the lil loading screens say upper but the cover sticker doesnt!

it’s not cps2 it uses Naomi GD hardware…i’m currently saving for a kit

Do elaborate plz…

Hi Sabre…you seem to know quite a bit about the Alpha 3 ports. I was wondering if you could give me your opinion on the GBA version? What originally promted me to start this thread was because I was curious if there were other versions of SFA3 similar to the GBA version. The GBA version is sooo full of extras and goodies I could play it forever. I think it’s a very impressive port and Capcom is to be commended for cramming this much content into the tiny GBA.

this is SaBrE posting:

for what it is, the gba version is actually pretty good IMO. just too bad its 4 buttons =/

Yeah, I thought it was pretty good, too…until I tried to do a super.

truth

this is also true in games like quake where rocket jumping and bunny hopping “bugs” added so much to gameplay and depth that now its become staple

one thing the DC version of alpha 3 had going for it was the 2 on 1 matches. 3 human players simultaneously fighting in a3 was the most fun I have ever had playing sf.
