Just so y’all know. I’m wasn’t gone from this thread, just in VFDC (www.virtuafighter.com). I’m still using…the Aoi. I’m still trying to crush, main, or otherwise destroy ALL who dare to challenge, the Aoi (inserting evil laugh here :devil:). Not so much now since I’m in the process of breaking in my new Hori EX VF joystick which I had acquired…sometime last week. :woot: Wireless has been kicking my ass more than most of you guys have been doing lately. That, work, and the occasional Fire Pro Wrestling has been keeping me away from VF5. Right now I’m handling my Hori stick with kid gloves so my game may or may not be a little off. Having said that…

The majority of the VF’ers are pretty damn classy and honorable, there ARE exceptions as with everything else but don’t let that scare you away from the game.

If you have questions, don’t be afraid to send a message after the match is over. Most of the time it will be answered in some way, shape, or form. Of course the folks here and/or at VFDC will gladly help you out.

Panther Edit: 4649? I did remember playing a Lion the other day, but I don’t think your profile matched. It did seem like you had an idea how I played though. Should’ve figured. I’ll be on guard the next time, then.

I really need to get on VFDC more often. The VF forums here just aren’t active enough. The Hori EX stick is definitely better than a pad but I wish I knew how to mod so I could at least replaced the crap ass buttons. They’re too mushy and cheap feeling for my tastes.

I pretty much just started playing this game online again today so I’ll look out for some of you guys. I guess your wireless is still acting up Panther?

Yes…my wireless is still acting up but I learn to enjoy the time I DO have. The only thing more annoying about the stick 'sides my :d::p::k: becoming :df::p::k: is the constant clicking. :looney: But I’ll get used to it soon enough.

GG Deviljin. Both of our matches were close, until I ringed myself out :D. I do post on SRK some but for VF I’ve pretty much migrated over to VFDC since thats what a bunch of SRKers have done as well.

iv started to play this game now that my lens has been cleaned (n_n) i usually use sarah cos its fun but i think im gonna pick up jefferye now… :wonder:

i use a lot of characters occasionally but i like aoi a lot and cant wait untill i put time aside to use her more, with her I can turn VF into DOA

Good luck with that, seriously. Just remember that when you’re taking a few guaranteed combinations you can’t “break” them with reversals - you just have to take it like a true VF’er. You need advice/help most here and at VFDC will be happy to assist you. That is all. :bluu:

Yeah, reversals are just a way to stop the same move/predict and scare the enemy. They don’t have the RIDICULOUS offensive power that they do in DOA, sheesh they’re crazy in that.

I think my greatest joy in DOA 4 was to drive all those overused, over-broken ninjas head-first to the pavement with Tina. A more ridiculous game I’ve yet to see. Nice eye candy though.

i wasnt talking about that sub standard scrub killer reversing while being hit, im talking about predicting moves, and I also dwelled on doing a thin in doa where I reverse in between blocking combination moves like ayane’s :f: :f: :k: :k: :k:

thats probably the only thing i love about doa :encore:

I’ve been out of practice for a while (since the first WCG US online qualifier), but I’ll try to get back in the groove for the upcoming qualifier this month. Buzz me if you want to fight a good (and the most bad-ass-looking) Sarah.

If I don’t do good in this qualifier, I’ll probably hang up the VF5 towel since SC4 is right around the corner and wait for VF5:R before VFing again.
