Virtua Stick Pro for Sega Saturn (HSS-0130)

Why is the player 2 layout slightly different from the player 1 layout on the joystick? The MK, HK, FP, FK buttons are level with each other on the p2 side; whereas they are not on P1.

I think 2 HRAP2s > This stick

Hey, if anyone is interested, I have one of those in perfect condition I’d like to sell. Haven’t made a thread yet in the trading outlet cause I never got around to it, but since this thread popped up I figured I’d mention something. If interested, PM me with an offer. I hope shipping isn’t too pricey for this kind of thing, but it should be under 50 bucks, and maybe under 25 bucks with UPS ground.

I actually picked up the stick in a video game store in St. Paul, MN that sold a bunch of old video game hardware and games, along with some new stuff. It was just sitting behind the counter in the white and pink box. I couldn’t believe they had it. They didn’t know the value of the thing and I got it for 70 bucks, so I was pretty happy about that. The box isn’t in great condition, but the stick seems from all indications unused. The virtua sticker/button guide thing is still in the bag too. The sticks are seimitsu, and the buttons are pretty good. They feel pretty close to sanwas and i wouldn’t bother replacing them 'til they broke.

And yeah, the 2nd player side has a shifted layout, to accomodate the 2nd player’s tendancy the be shifted to the side when playing. Alot of Astro cabs have this setup. I actually wish both sides were like the 2p, and it just feels better.

I want that stick so I have somewhere to mount my Vs. City panel. =(

I dreamed one day that I wanna replace the Saturn PCBs with SFAC PCBs.

Bumping this to get an HSS discussion going.

Who all currently has one of these?

What did you pay for it (cost and shipping cost)?

Did you mod it for something other than Saturn?

I have a handful of sticks now and the HSS-0130 is at the top of my wishlist. I’d probably stop buying sticks altogether if I ever found one. The cheapest I’ve ever seen one sell for was $265 shipped. I also bought one from an eBay auction and the seller cancelled it and refunded the purchase price. I would love to have one but I can’t justify spending $400.

I dont have an actual HSS-130, but I did happen to stumble on something similar.

Almost just like an HSS-130, but from an actual candy cab.

Damn, $60? I’d take one for $60 and would care less how beat up the exterior was as long as it could take a new panel. Any chance the seller would randomly ship one across the US?

Edit: I e-mailed them for the hell of it.

In Den Den Town, Osaka Japan.

Look at the prices these are going for! $160 bite.

Damn. What does Japanese shipping cost on these bad boys? I’d be scared as hell ordering one from Yahoo Auctions Japan.

As for Kyle Research about hss-0130 on japan auction. u best bet would be there.

I got one today totaly complete for about 8,777 yen so 95 us total, so 2.50 and 15dollars fees for their service and surface shipping style cost 100 dolars price.

So total for me was like 215 dollars shippedwhich isnt bad. this is my second hss that i bought from japan auction.

Yeah, that’s nothing compared to what they normally sell for. I’ll go digging. I was just scared the shipping would be something wild like $200.

Its all about shipping pick that the buyer chooses

Ah, that makes sense. I’ve bought a few things from Japan off eBay. The seller said something like ‘You can have $6 shipping if you really want it. It will be transported via boat and may take a few months to arrive.’

It looks like there’s one on there for 10k yen. I’ll see what I can sort out.

I bought one of these sticks 2 weeks ago from ebay. It was advertised just before i logged in so I bought it strait away. I was real lucky if you ask me… cost me 400 bucks wih shipping. Great stick but being almost 15 years old its worth changing the parts. It is the King of sticks looks wise. its like owning a farrari.

that stick was in ebay and i missed it. lol

Actually im gonna start buying parts to mod my hss-0130. Is there anyone whom can give me advice. I was thinking of putting in sanwa parts in. I want to keep its compatibility with the Saturn so it will be a basic exchange of parts. Which sanwa mount should work? and which buttons, snap ins or bolt screws? Would I have to modify it much to fit the sanwa stick in? Can I solder the new sanwa buttons to the pcb like the genric ones are?

Any help would be much apreciated, cus making those supers on SFA3 needs that sanwa touch lol.

Plus I wanna make my hss-0130 ultimate if u catch my drift.

I know it might be a bit off topic, but what are the alternatives to the HSS-0130?

products that are similar 2 player panels, but no the sega one (and im sure we all know x-arcade, so we can leave it out)

^^HRAP2/3 with astro art + plexi + matching buttons
