I would still play VF5 if I was in the US. :X
I still play VF a lot. Though I would like to play 5R and VF:FS. I would be willing to play anyone. As I have the PS3 version.
I think I’ve only ever had one chance in my whole life to play Virtua Fighter against another human being: it was in 1995 on a ferry ride and I didn’t get to because my mom and dad wouldn’t give me a quarter.
I would abandon science to be able to go back in time and give myself that quarter. Magic, please realize all of my lost hopes and dreams.

I imagine someone does, me I play Virtua Fighter 5.
I still like to play it. Hell, I’m pretty lucky in that if I wasn’t broke I could afford to play it with people in the same state lol.
Been playing VF since 2 on genesis. Currently playing VF5 on PS3 and slowly starting to get a local friend interested in playing too. I been playing the CPU for years. I lurk on VFDC, but figured no point in signing up cuz I have no scene in WI.
I’m always down for some casuals in VF5 at any tournament I go to, or run, and the game is available to play.
I play and I’m on VFDC send me friend request
South Florida where you at?
I have 4Evo and 5.

Daaaang seems like everyones on PS3! Theres like a whole untapped venue of competition grrrrr! Fyi for Xbox users

if you’re down to get in.

That’s mind games with a Green connection it shouldn’t be too bad. If noone plays hear you I can see where your problems lie and it stinks. C001357 that sucks. Really the only venue nowadays is online. Arcades are a thing of the past unless you have local comp or friends willing to play.

I haven’t played Virtua Fighter since VF4 Evo back during PS2. It was the first fighting game I got serious about. No idea why it never caught on in the U.S.

Virtua fighter never caught on in the US for a multitude of reasons which primarily include bad marketing. The core VF community also wasn’t very competitive I think too keep hold of the more main stream fighting fans. Lets face it the Canons and shoryukens atmosphere have done wonders for the SF scene. Virtua Fighter 2 did reasonably well but Virtua Fighter 3 was too expensive for most arcades to get so by the time 4 came out any VF buzz 2 brought kind of died off.
If you have a 360 and VF5 I’d be more than happy to get some games in with you and I know of a number of other cats that would too.

Can I switch with you? Just give me your Taka card and you can come here and spend all your time looking for VF vids online cos there’s nobody to play :smokin:
Yea UnCauzi I’m in Allentown maybe an hour outside of Phillie, so if you guys do anything be sure to give me a heads up! Yea its really hard to find anyone to play on VFDC, so you got to look everywhere… sigh… sad thing is when I was in the arcades not long ago it was still hard to find VF players, blame it on Japan not putting out the new game or people not liking VF, but in Beijing it was like Tekken 100+ SF4 50-60 VF 10 on and off players who were all moving to other games…
