When SF4 released, I bought an SE fightstick and modded it with Sanwa stick and buttons. It came to around the same price as a TE, but it was much smaller (which is what I wanted for portability) and it was a nice learning experience. However, I just I had just gotten the TE instead for the cable storage. w/e
Some people have bought the Wii SE fightstick for TvC and modded that to work with a 360. That requires a lot of soldering etc, cos you have to use a board from a 360 controller. No idea if that is what you want to do, but last I checked TvC sticks were goign for 30 bucks.
The main games I enjoy are BlazBlue and Guilty Gear, but I also like MvC3. Basically long combos and air dashes and I’ll probably like it.
lol nah, I don’t know if they considered that much. So far he’s got a mix of buffs and nerfs.
Ragna has 2 buffs and one “huh?” so far.

Seems like Chau has his head in the game. I’m not totally sure about being able to attend, I guess it depends on if we’re all trying to go to Season’s Beatings or whatever, but it’d be great if we could get a few Blacksburg people out there.

If you want something mid-to-small-sized, I would probably suggest an SE, since that’s a mid-sized stick that runs for maybe $60, but you’ll have to mod it 'coz the MadCatz parts are crap! TEs are running for maybe $100-$120 right now if you use a MadCatz sale coupon code.
No offense to Chau, but I’ve never even heard of VTYME before and the huge pot bonus makes it seem kinda suspicious.
I’m a fan of MvC3 and AE, but I’ll try just about anything lol.
I went to a VTYME a long time ago for GG and SC3. I don’t remember it too well, but I do remember playing KOF11(?) there, and watching Combofiend beasting with Slash Order Sol.
Dunno yet if I’ll be able to make trips to any far tournies this semester.

“Lets Rock!” is the only reply I could think of.
Obviously the two main games would be AE and Marvel, possibly 3sOE. I know there should be an upswing in players with it’s release and I definitely plan to play it. There will be plenty of room though, so if someone wants to bring a setup for casuals you’d be more than welcome.

Yeah, never been. I haven’t played Marvel in a minute, but looking to get better at AE. I played at some arcade in Hawaii this summer and got beasted. Do not want that to happen again.
For those of you looking for arcade sticks get in touch with Rob, he’s looking to sell several TE’s right now, including the Femme Fatal one for 360. For you new folks I’ll get him to post again on here later.
Thanks man, personally don’t care if we do actual ranbats for GG (would be like 4-5 people max anyway), as long as we can play it. I’m totally in on Marvel though whenever I can make it.
Donnie, you might be getting your wish indeed. I see a lot of people saying he resembles Eddie. Or a Stand user from JoJo’s. There’s some vids on the front page here now (although poor quality) if you didn’t check em out yet. I think he’s lookin pretty bad ass.
Bringing a system for set up wouldn’t be an issue, but my TVs are monsters and I wouldn’t really be able to bring them.
From the vids I saw of Carl’s dad it seems more like a stand than Zato but what do I know about Zato, I cant even block him.
I’ll have a small CRT I can bring around this semester.
As for what day you guys wanna do the Ranbats, the way my schedule is looking Mondays and Thursdays will probably be worst for me since I don’t get out of classes til around 5…
