You do the same stuff with sol that I do. Everybody keeps saying that he has 200+ damage air combos, but I’ve yet to see one and all of my combos do just over 100 damage… Hmm maybe I’m throwing an extra attack in that is prorating or something. I’ll have to experiment.
But yeah, my sol isn’t technical at all… I mainly just play him to learn the game in general. But maybe that 2nd to last combo can get over 200 with sidewinder? i know it does about 194 the way i put it.
I’ll have to play around with combos tonight. The last time I was at mr mamation’s house he said something about adding a J.H in the middle of an air combo or something and that’s how you get damage, but I thought j.H wasn’t jump cancelable. I’ll test tonight.

i dont use Sol, but after playing against Sol players i was able to go to training mode and figure this out.
there are also variations to this combo, and i think this dose somewhere in the 190’s.
since i dont play him you all might find something that makes Sol do more damage for each hit.
also, i dont know if you still can, but 6H use to combo into BB, which leads to that same combo for well over 200 damage.
I don’t think that will work except in the corner. After a bit of messing around in training mode the other night I figured out that you need a lot of momentum in your combo to do big damage. Normally you can’t connect (well I can’t maybe a better player can) anything after a j.D unless you started the combo with a running jump or you are in the corner. The biggest damage combo I could do was 188 (6p,5s,2h jc, js,j.d jc, j.s,j.d, VV. I didn’t know you could connect a 2H off of a br, I’ll try that tonight and see if I can get any more damage.

After having played 3s at the arcade some this weekend I can say that the ps2 version is right on. Though it seems like the ps2 version is a touch on the fast side, but that might just be me.
