Strange Matter now has its liquor license, so all you big kids can have a mixed drink if you prefer that to beer. Strange Matter also has very tasty burgers and veg friendly menu!

Arcade+ restaurant with good food+ beer/liquor+ college campus= A much better time than any LAN center in the middle of nowhere.

Tyler and DnD from Roanoke asked me about getting in on some more GG/BB next time we have a gathering, if that’s cool with whoever is hosting (if someone is hosting) this weekend. I’ll let them know when/where, no rush though :smile:

I think Michael is trying to defend Cybergrounds in Fairfax which usually double books RVA. Renegade I’d come to your tournament but I don’t have a car, I know you usually drive all over the place for tournys so I hope yours goes well.

Actually no, Justin let me borrow his ps2 stick so I could learn GG and 3s with a stick. So now I’m learning Jam in GG and Yun in 3s. Both characters don’t seem that easy so I doubt I’ll be any good for a while. It’s fun to learn though.

Edit: I’m hosting more games this Thursday night if any of you guys want to come and are not active on the ggvt forums.

Ohh cool. Jam looks fun to play. If there’s two things that have always given me trouble playing against her, it’s that jump cancel-able 2D and extremely low instant air dash she has.

nevermind about the Roanoke guys, they said this weekend won’t work apparently. Maybe next weekend.

Sorry I’ve been a little mia lately, but I’ve been pretty busy. I can do games on Thursday as long is it’s not too late. I have to work early Friday.

Well I get home around 4 on Thursday. You guys are welcome to come at anytime after that. I posted on the other forum that it starts at 8 so I’m guessing if any newcomers show, it’ll be around then. Bring your ps2 sticks if you want. I’d like some gg and 3s to happen in between the other games. Also if any of you guys have to park far away, give me a call so I can give you a ride. Not in of itself. I’m just tired of the LAN center in some desolate shopping center with only fast food around that you have to drive to.

Arcade atmosphere helps too.

It sucks right now. Dead xbox makes it feel like it is fucking Lent, except I am not catholic, and I am going without 3 of my favorite things: sf4/bbcs, beer, and well, guess why I haven’t been in Blacksburg and figure the 3rd one out :wink: the beer thing is my own doing though. I have been trying to get in better swimming shape, so I am taking it easy on beer. I will get back off the wagon either next Saturday (UFC!) or at octoberfest! Yay!

EDIT: Robin, I hate that I keep flaking out on your tournaments. Hope the next one is on a Saturday I have off, and I can either find people to carpool up and back with or find somewhere to stay that won’t get me in trouble at work (Hi Corey!)

Justin has been letting me use your stick to learn some GG and 3s, it holds up :razzy: I won’t be taking video, but I’ll be taking some pics for my photography class. I’ll probably be putting them on facebook and a free image hosting place. Anyone know of a good place to host pic albums? I haven’t really searched for one.

I use a site called dropbox for uploading files. It basically syncs all your files to all your computers, as long as you have internet. It’s started replacing my flash drive. You can use it as a photo gallery too.

Blake, you’re on campus right? We should get some SSF4 in sometime.
