Played Marvel on PSN for the first time last night. Man people play the worst teams. The best team I fought all night was cyclopse, cable, captain commando but that guy had no idea how to use that team. The worst team I was was wolverine, captain commando, bonverine, that guy had no idea how to play that team or marvel.

Yeah that does get the job done, but there is something really satisfying about stomping them to death with Sentinel.
Also glitched juggs is super fun since nobody online knows how to block or stop pressing buttons.

Last time I played mvc2 my team was Hayato (cause he looks like Sol with a beam saber), Captain Commando, and Venom. Probably a horrible team :razzy:
I got lost in foxridge once. That place is huge.
But man wtf do I do against Tager once he has magnetized me?? He gets this ridiculous loop on me that does like 80% damage and it’s like automatic win. Is there a way to get out of his move where he grabs you out of the air full screen?? I destroy him until he does one combo (that doesn’t really combo) and takes all my life.
Play it safe and come in from the air. Never keep rushing. Once magnitized jump if hes doing a pull move on the ground and back dash when he tries to do the pot grab.
So there’s nothing I can do when he gets me in that combo I described? I don’t have a problem getting around other stuff, it just seems like there’s some way I have to get out of that set up some special way or it’s ridiculous damage (like ice). This one guy just did this one thing where he would smash me to the ground, air grab, and hit me away then air grab again and it would pull me all the way back cause I’m in the air. I was destroying him in 3 matches but he always won with that one combo/set up.
I play Tager, and from the sounds of it, you’re falling for tech traps. If you air tech while magnetized, you risk being sucked in. Two ways to fight it: First, don’t tech till you hit the ground so you can roll, or you can let him suck you in and hit him with an air attack while you’re being sucked in.
P.S. I’m back in Blacksburg, and I am yet to play anyone in BB live. Anyone up for something before classes start?
Ah ok, that’s exactly what I needed to hear. I didn’t know you could knock him out of it and I didn’t know about the teching either.

I’m using Clockwork. Strider/Doom is just too much fun. Sometimes I’ll switch sentinel out for cyclopse or juggs.
I love playing S/D, but man, strider would be a better character if 1/2 of his special moves were taken out. I get too many of the screw up moves.
Yeah I would trade all of his specials apart from the robot tiger and bird bombs for 10% more health.
I can host at my place on Saturday after dinner. On campus, New Hall West. It’s a really nice room, and I should have enough seating by then, unless there’s something pressing I need to do on Saturday to get ready for class, etc. You could even come over today, if you want, but I only have the two swivel chairs that came with the room. Tomorrow I’ll probably be helping people move in and grabbing stuff from my storage unit.
